Pros:
Descriptive tee signs with red arrows pointing to the next tee on the tee sign.
Plenty of Parking and portable toilets (nearer the ballfield)
the fairways NOT in the woods we're mowed better than most parks.
Good mix of open field holes and woodsy holes------- - +
Cons:
The fairways in the woods we're to narrow to let loose for a seasoned player who wants to rip their drive through the woods. (But I'm thinking most of the players are recreational players that are okay with the current conditions)
Crossing fairways (# 14 and # 15)
no benches
California tees
small kiosk with a map that was very weathered.
no fast greens. most of the baskets except for maybe hole # 9 we're located on flatter surfaces.
Although most of the course was groomed satisfactorily, trimming is NEEDED very much at most of the baskets (shouldn't have weeds or grasses coming through the basket well)
Lots of deer to avoid (but I guess I playing in their backyard)
Other Thoughts:
I played just after a severe storm passed through, some downed branches and water present where normally there probably wouldn't be any water flowing.
I'm sure with a little TLC this course would be a lot more enjoyable, but because of the very narrow fairways in the woods (20 feet wide at most places). This course will be what it is.
