Pros:
-Solid DGA baskets with two layers of chains.
-Very nice signs with distance, par, and a map.
-Some variety to holes to make it fun.
-Quite long compared to what I'm used to.
Cons:
-Tees are natural; some are uneven.
-No next tee signs can make navigation difficult.
-A few poorly designed fairways in regards to safety.
Other Thoughts:
I was hesitant at giving this one a 3. At first, I didn't think I liked it that much, but then realized it was just a tough course for me. It's much longer than many of the courses in my area, and many of the holes are just out of my birdie-able range. Once I realized my score is gonna be higher, I quite enjoyed it for what it was. Many of the holes are fun to play, even if they were designed by someone who didn't understand "safe course design." A couple fairways cross, a couple occupy the same space going opposite directions, etc. Major bad juju if the course is packed, however, this one rarely seems to be so. Besides all that, my biggest complaint is tees. I'm assuming they wanted to be able to mow over the tees, so they run along the ground. Whether that be flat or not. It's annoying, but enough of the tees are on a flat area anyways so I could still have fun.
