9 Hole course at a nice setting 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Apr 7, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice scenery abounds here. The holes are open, but challenges are provided by many blind tee-shots, wind, and elevation changes.

Cons:

Being a recreational course, the lack of solid tee pads and signage are to be expected, as it is not a dedicated DG course. However, there are upright poles in the ground that have a number posted on them, pointing you in the direction of the baskets. I have to admit that the first time playing there I walked around a bit trying to get a feel for how the course is supposed to go; hopefully future players can benefit from the pictures in the media tab for guidance. The lack of tee pads is not a huge issue; even with the soggy March/April ground, the tee area is quite study.

Other Thoughts:

For those that seek a woodsy course, this is not likely to be your favorite. For those that are looking for a basic, open course that has other activities to offer (playground for the kids, volleyball, BBQ), this certainly would be enjoyed well.

The course's feel is comparable to other open, non-dedicated DG courses in New England within a recreational area such as Tilton Park, Foster's Meadow, and Mountain View Resort
