A LOT of Fun in a Small Space! drive by

Pros:
This course is a fun 9 hole track that's squeezed into a small space, but doesn't feel like they crammed it in there. There's plenty of space to air yourself out on the holes that require a bit more power, and enough room to make sure fairways and tee pads aren't right on top of each other. There was definitely a lot of time and care put into the design of the property to ensure fun, safe play.
There's plenty of trash cans throughout the course to take care of your munchies and drinks while on the course.
The tee areas are perfectly suited to host solo throwers or mob style groups, however there weren't any benches. The tee concrete tee pads weren't overgrown or cracked, and the tee signs have the necessary info, with pretty good accuracy on lengths and map navigation.
Getting around this course was a breeze. If I didn't just see the next tee from the basket, there was an obvious sign "Next Tee ->", mixed with all the mowed paths it was easy to get around without having to rely on the course map.
The course starts out nice and flat, but still obvious fairways and rough, maintaining a risk vs. reward element to the holes with rough varying from light wooded rough, to chest height grass. Everything is set up for recreational play, and a ton of fun.
Once you cross from hole 4 to 5, the landscape of the course becomes more open, with elevation coming into play, allowing for a bit more air under the discs. Don't be fooled by the openness, the fairways are about 15 feet wide mowed grass with plenty of tall grass and shrubbery lining either side to keep you on your toes if a shot happens to get away from you a bit.
What I'll call the second part of the track utilizes the elevation available without seeming like they wanted to use more than they should.
The basket for hole 5 offers a nice, almost blind shot to a basket situated far enough up a hill to offer a challenge for putting, but low enough to offer a natural back wall to help stop speeding drives.
Hole 6 has you teeing off from the highest point on the course, to a blind green perfectly suited for a RHFH of LHBH. However, watch going long as you may tag the folks on Hole 7 tee pad.
The course finishes with two holes incorporating the wooded area available and we're nice shorties to keep the fun going through the end.

Cons:
Hole 1 is missing its tee sign. I was fairly disappointed and thought that was going to be how the whole round went. Hole two and beyond had them.
There weren't any restrooms on site. There may be restrooms in the building by the basketball courts, but I didn't head over to see if they would have even been unlocked.
The walk from hole 4 to 5 seems like it could have been more fun with a wide open field shot, even if it were to be short, but I'm literally looking for things to write in this spot.

Other Thoughts:
If you're ever in the area and need a course to start or end your day of course bagging that will make you want to wake up early again the next day and play another route of courses, definitely make sure you make this a stop.
Definitely worth the $2 suggested donation. Beautiful course that a lot of course designers could learn from.

Nice Niner in Mid-Michigan

Pros:
I get to the area a couple times a year and, while this isn't my absolute favorite course, it is a nice play.
Follow the signs for the canoe launch. First hole is between that and the skate park.
For an area Paul Bunyan whammed with his shovel, the designers managed some nice use of elevations. These run to the tee or basket being higher, rather than much up or downhill, but they used what they had well. You'll need to throw a lot of different shots to play this one.
I'd rank some of the open holes as bombers, but I am a noodle-arm senior citizen. Take that into account. This is NOT a big-arm course. Pars are attainable/fair for average players.
Parking is great. Just park at the end of the skate park lot. Porta-John right there
