1. Orange tee signs and small directional arrows have been attached to surrounding trees and fences making it easier to follow the course.

2. Low hanging limbs on several holes have been trimmed back to open up tee shots on Holes 4 and 8 and fairways on Holes 5, 7, 8, and 9. Limbs have been trimmed on hole 2 recently opening up a clear line to the basket from the right side.

3. An OB sign has been added to Hole 6 and a drop zone with sign added to Island Hole 8.

4. There is an two tees "pads" on Hole 4: "A" - 243 ft. and "B" - 279 ft. A new alternative "B" tee "pad" for Hole 6 had just been added...328 ft.

1. Hole 3 is often unplayable as designed in the afternoons or early evenings when large groups of kids are playing beach volleyball, blocking a hyzer shot to the basket. As an alternative to skipping the hole or intentionally laying up to avoid the VB players, throw from No. 3 tee diagonally across the field to basket 5, then walk around the back of the VB court to hole 4.

2. During the summer months, the grass is not mowed often enough on the fields and surrounding area making walking through tall grass stalks annoying and unpleasant.

3. Since the fields are multi-use, there are often 1-2 people practicing la crosse shots, baseball/softball skills and such...especially on hole 1 fairway. However, if you let them know you are preparing to throw, they are happy to yield to allow you to play through.

If you plan to play at a school course, expect Hole 1 near the back door where the PE kids come/go to the dressing rooms. (...and the last hole would finish near the same entrance/exit door.) Generally, most courses will circle around the school's playing fields with tee boxes and baskets along the edges, corners, or areas between fields. Any obstacles (like trees) would be a bonus since you will be playing around areas where most trees were removed when the fields were installed. The RMS course is indeed exceptional with several trees surrounding many of the baskets and lining some of the fairways. Concrete tee pads and signposts are expenses that most PE budgets can't afford and would possibly create hazards near the boundary lines of any playing field.
