Home Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 15, 2021 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-Wide variety of shots, tight woods and open field-Well maintained, mowed and down trees cleared -Different hole layouts radically change course for replaying-Good tee pads and signs

Cons:

-Field can get wet and soggy if a lot of rain-Can be busy and crowded-Couple wooded holes have heavy brush making it hard to find discs

Other Thoughts:

-One of my fav Indy courses

Solid Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 27, 2021 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Great variety of distances, shot shapes, wooded/non-wooded holes, especially on the long pins.
Most holes can be played a variety of ways. Bad shots can get punished hard, but good shots feel great.
The upkeep on the course is very good.
Concrete tee pads and hole signs with distance, par, etc. were recently added.
Two pin positions for most holes that are switched up several times a year and play fairly different.

Cons:

Field gets very wet when it rains, I wouldn't advise going after a heavy rain. And the rough is thick in the late spring/summer, easy to lose discs. Have a spotter on the wooded holes, especially if it's your first time at Sahm.
Mostly par 3s.

Other Thoughts:

One of my go-to courses when it's dry.

Unforgiving and great 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 25, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Lot's of woods and trees.
Good variety of hole styles (wooded, open, short, and long)
Half the course is new

Cons:

Sahm's new course is unforgiving. The fairway is often covered in foliage and can be, brushy and messy.
The rough is even worse. It's easy to loose a disc and they can be hard to find.
Right now there is no signage so figuring out where you go can be a bit of a challenge.

Other Thoughts:

Holes 1 and 11-18 are the the original 9 holes from the course.
Holes 2-10 are new and buried deep in the woods.
Hopefully the holes and directions to the next tee will be marked soon.
