Great Starter course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 29, 2019 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

I have been playing here for years, probably over 100 times. They have done a good job maintaining the course throughout the years and it's always fun!

Cons:

Only suggestion would be to add signage that points to next tee pad. Hole 14 has an alternate basket location and it isn't always clear which way it currently is.

Other Thoughts:

None.

gets better every time 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Sep 22, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Good use of elevation
#2 pond/sledding hill signature hole
clean park (many trash cans and benches)
Good pin placements
Mostly long with some easier short holes
easy navigation
#18 is a great way to end a round
free to play
Bugs are gone!! (except near 14 and 15)

Cons:

Pond on #2 is getting smaller (good or bad)
long walk between 14 and 15

Other Thoughts:

The rating for this course should be better. there are many types of shots needed and the pins are in good places to make it more interesting. It is mostly an open course but throwing in the woods can make it difficult. #2 is one of my all time favorite holes where you throw down a sledding hole and over a pond. Wind can make this hole very difficult but the pond is shrinking by the day. there are plenty of chances to air it out and the last hole #18 is the best one. Finish your round with a 540' downhill shot next to the softball fields with a pond behind the pin. I recommend this course to all.

They fixed the course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 18, 2012 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

They added a new hole #1 to replace the old one, and they bushwhacked and built a new path over the bridge in the swamp, no more walking a half a mile :)
Overall great par 3 course, many interesting drives and quality tees

Cons:

Always windy! I dot know what it is but it has never been calm while I'm on this course.
They really could use some signs on the tees showing where the basket is, because that can get very confusing, I'm thinking about calling the city and volunteering to do it myself

Great Course Now in 2016 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Dec 2, 2013 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Update since my review a few years ago:

-Baskets and teepads are good
-Lots of variety
-The pond on 2&3 has changed and now it is feasible to go for it now. I love it
-Next tee arrows in the ground
-Benches and trash cans
-Well maintained
-Had a good time today and it's definitely better than I remember it.

Cons:

All of my cons from my 2010 review are gone.

- Hole 1 is now just a short straight "warmup" toss
- kind of a long walk between 14 and 15 I think it was
- A few blind shots, but nothing a quick walk ahead wouldn't figure out

Other Thoughts:

After playing this course again, I really like it. Lots of variety, quite a few longer holes, good use of the terrain.

Pros:

Awesome course planning and maitnence. Good variety of holes, always keeps your game at best.Loved the back nature trail to 16 very nice walk.

Cons:

Course and hole maps/descriptions would be great. Also next hole markers could be better presented.

Other Thoughts:

Great play, course is changing hole design from one to another. Good play from amature to pro.
