Pros:

good terrain for disc golf. It has mild elevation and a moderate amount of trees. For a 9 holer, it isn't super short. IMO, if a 9 holer averages 300 ft. per hole or more, that's respectable. plenty of parking. Holes 1 and 9 have concrete T-pads. The only other vehicle I saw besides the one in front of the welcome center, was a sheriff's truck pulling a port a let on a small trailer. I guess that he was returning it after having it emptied or maybe they have an event coming up. Or maybe the sheriff has to go a lot and just drives around with it. He waved and I waved back. I am pretty sure that hole 7 is a par 4, Separated from the rest of the park and no walkers. Holes 1 and 9 were easy to find because of the concrete T-pads. The course has a nice variety. A couple of openish type holes mixes well with the rest of the holes.

Cons:

Hopefully the course is unfinished. Standing water in a couple of spots. Due to all of the downed trees and other natural debris and the fact that there were no worn spots, it was pretty much impossible to find the natural T-pads for the next hole. At least they had the baskets set up where the hole number was facing in the general direction of where the T-pads should or will be. With a few more trees removed, you could have several of the holes with more than 1 fairway, which is an attribute that most of us prefer in a course.

Other Thoughts:

I am not sure if their is a local club. With a few work days, this could be a really nice course to bring someone for their 1st round. It isn't overly tightly wooded, but it isn't just an open field with baskets. It has a nice variety of hole lengths. I would give it a chance in a few months, but don't drive too far to play it the way it is currently.
