Danger Danger

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 11, 2024 Played the course:once

Pros:

A few interesting holes
Very nice Baskets, a few holes with 2 baskets
Few holes with alternate tee's

Cons:

Tees are not marked very well yet (as of when I played it)
Other park users come into play BAD on several of the holes
Course retains water bad on hole 7. Both baskets (red and Yellow) were full of water, the worst I saw all day.

Other Thoughts:

Small town course with several holes having multiple tee's and multiple baskets to shoot too. This does sort of give you an 18 hole layout if you play though twice.

Remember, small town. This is a small park that already has a playground and restroom. The first hole, both tee's use the sidewalk at a tee box.

2nd hole, is a good ace run hole, just don't overthrow it or you are in the creek.

3rd hole again uses the side walk for one of the tee's and the hole throw DOWN the path to the basket. If you look at my pic of the long hole posted, you will see I had to wait for a walker on this brisk January morning. (You can see him still in my way from the short tee too)

Hole 4 also tee's across a sidewalk and down to a basket with a wash behind it. Almost an island hole if you play sidewalk and across the creek OB.

Holes 5, 6, 7 and 8 use a section of land not used by anyone else.

Hole 5 has a red and a Yellow basket, this is a wide open hole.

Hole 6 has a long and short tee. The fairway is fully open, but there are rocks around the basket at circles edge. (BTW, I screwed up putting hole 5's pictures in, marked the hole number as 5)

Hole 7 also has 2 basket, the shot is across the creek is an area that was very wet with standing water. I played several course this day and this was the ONLY wet spot I played all day.

Hole 8 is the best hole on the course. Again, 2 basket with actual tree's to throw around.

Hole 9 again throws down the sidewalk with the restrooms behind the basket and yards to the right if you turn it over.

In general, this is your typical small town course crammed into a park that should not have disc golf in it. From what I read about this, the city actually wants to have a tournament out here to bring players to town. While if you shut the park down to other park users, I still have a hard time seeing that happen.

Would I play here again? Nope, only if I lived nearby and didn't have time to head over to one of the good courses nearby.
