Pros:
New course in Tiffin located near the railroad tracks and recreational trail just south of town and north of interstate 80
The baskets feature different colors on each hole which makes them stand out. Blue, red, yellow were some of the colors I encountered. Baskets were modified to some degree, perhaps they were built by the park or another contractor to reduce costs.
Maps are present and they do a pretty good job of illustrating the hole design.
The holes offer a modest challenge for all skill levels of disc golfers, although they get to be a tand bland. There'e no elevation, it's all flat ground. There's no water hazards that come into play, mostly just line shaping through the woods and prairie grasses lining the course.
Cons:
Bugs tend to get bad in the evening and around standing water so they dampen the experence. Probably more of a spring, fall course as vegetation grows out of control where mowing has not taken place.
Likewise, the vegetation has grown out of control in areas that inhabit the forest. Such plants seem to be poisinous in nature like a large 4 leaved plant with white flowers. This plant is rampant throughout the last 3 holes and should be avoided at all costs.
Other Thoughts:
Tiffin really helped the town by installing a nice course like this. It takes literally 2 minutes to get there from the Interstate so you don't have to mess around trying to find the location, unlike the other disc golf course listed in the town, which is non-existant.
There are no signs indicating the location of the course, it's just a vacant gravel parking lot, so be aware when traveling in the area.
I would play the course again and I intend to the next time, I'm in the area. I would probably wear a pair of sweatpants to cover my legs from those nasty plants.
I will try to post pics of the course.
