Pros:
Tushka Run adds a different element to Tishomingo State Park. It's elevation changes along with tricky course design give Tishomingo State Park it toughest course. Well placed shots will be rewarded as poorly placed shots will not. The course is not entirely difficult as it has plenty of birdie opportunities spread along the foothills of the mountians. The back 9 baskets are set amoung some beautiful scenery rolling over hills and perched amoung huge rocks. The course plays fairly quick. Paths from baskets to tee pads seem to be cut in a manner where players will not walk out paths for unrewarding shots at the previously stated basket.
Cons:
The course is brand new. It still needs tons of work. The last 6 holes have steep elevation changes and are hard to navigate during inclimate weather. Water stand on the #2 Tee box which causes a muddy experience. There is a huge lake shot on hole #6 I believe. It is not really a con. I just wanted to let the players know that there is water in play.
Other Thoughts:
Tushka Run is a good course that will get better with time. Once the course gets walked out I expect it to become one of the best in the park.
