Pros:

Valley City Park DGC is located in a small park in the middle of nowhere North Dakota. The course is great for beginners, children and course baggers like myself.

There's a few trees on every single hole to contend with and water can come into play on 4 or 5 holes with an errant shot. It seems to be really windy in North Dakota all the time too, so there's that as well.
Concrete tees on every hole. These are decent sized and plenty grippy. All are level. Plenty good for a course this size. One tee per hole.

The baskets are DISCatchers. These are all in very solid condition and caught fine. One pin placement per hole.

The tee signs are about 1'x1' plywood it appears to be, with a sign screwed to them. These include a basic hole map, par, distance, hole # and sponsors. They're mounted about a foot off the ground behind the tee. Plenty serviceable.

The flow of the course is pretty intuitive and easy to follow. Hole 1 starts right by the lot and hole 9 doesn't end too far away.

Cons:

The tee signs are mounted about a foot or two directly behind the tee pad. Not that you need some crazy run up on any of these holes but kind of a strange place to place them.

Lots of goose poop all over the place. It plays right along the river so it's to be expected, doesn't make it less annoying though.

Other Thoughts:

This course is by no means anything to go out of your way to play. However if you're traveling on I-94 through North Dakota it's a pretty quick spin and a great place to stretch your legs. Just don't expect to be Wowed. It's well done for it's intended target audience, beginners and children.
