Pros:
Village Green is a small little 9-hole course located in the heart of Peachtree City. The course is short and simple, could be considered a pitch and putt type course for more seasoned players.
Course Essentials:
-Baskets: Innova DISCatchers (older baskets showing signs of wear and faded numbering)
-Tee Signs: NONE
-Tee Markers: 4x4 Wooden post (marker only, no hole information available)
-Tee Pads: Natural (Dirt) tees with a 4x4 post buried in ground to mark the front of the box
General Course Design & Layout:
-Elevation: Primarily Flat
-Fairway Variety: (1) Right to Left, (3) Left to Right, (5) Straight
-Distance: 2240ft TOTAL (249ft avg/hole)
1 @ <200ft, 3 @ 200-250ft, 5 @ 250-300ft
-Hazards: Water hazards on hole 1/9 (Small Creek)
-Navigation: Simple & Straightforward (a couple of issues noted in cons section)
-Maintenance: Good
Village Green DGC is a short, simple design that provides a decent layout which utilizes the land and resources appropriately. The course plays through an open area with trees that line the outskirts of the property. This setup allows pin placements that force straight and/or slightly left to right (or flex) type tee shots to access the pin. Despite the small space, most of the pins are placed in position to be guarded by the tall, mature scattered throughout the property.
Hole 4 is cleverly designed to play under the golf cart bridge that spans the width of the course. This hole requires a low shot with a left to right shot path to a pin that is guarded on the left side by a tree. A small area of grass is intentionally left longer to prevent rollers (or at least to make them very difficult here). The low ceiling created by the bridge and the grass preventing the roller forces a low left to right shot path, very nice design on this one.

Cons:
-SAFETY CONCERN: The tee for hole 6 sits roughly 30ft from 5's basket in direct line with 5's tee. If you are teeing off on hole 5, you will be throwing directly at the tee for hole 6. There appears to be plenty of room on the right side in this area to move the basket for 5 away from the tee pad for 6, but there may be unforeseen reasons why this is not possible. With low volume traffic on the course, and high visibility of the hazard area, there is limited potential for someone to actually get hit, but either way, this area is in serious need of a redesign.
-Missing Course Essentials: There are no tee signs on the course. Most baskets are visible from the tee, but either way there is no information about the hole (distance, layout, etc.).
-Small, Compact Design: The area is very narrow, if multiple groups are playing the course, there will be times where you could be throwing toward other groups in close proximity.
-Navigation: Although the course is small and simple, some of the tees can be difficult to locate the first time through the course (a couple of small signs could resolve this)
-No Ammenitites: Trash cans, restrooms, course maps, scorecards, etc...

Other Thoughts:
This course is a great place for beginners/new players and children to learn about the game. Just use caution if there are other players on the course, be aware of where other players are located and where they may be throwing. It is also a good place for someone looking to play some DG with a limited time schedule. I'm guessing you could play the course pretty easily in 20min (give or take a couple minutes). The course is well shaded, clean, compact and simple. If you are looking to play a quick round or a new course, or just need a place to warm up or practice upshots and putting, check it out.

Pros:
Village Green DGC is a short 9 holer located Southwest of Atlanta's city limits.
This course is suited for the introduction of new players and could probably be used as a pitch and putt practice course.
Tees are marked with standing 4x4s and most holes have a 4x4 laying in the ground to designate the front of the tee boxes. Tee pads are natural, but really doesn't make a difference as all "drives" are pretty much approach shots.
Baskets are older DISCatchers, single layer chains, with shallow baskets. Baskets were freshly painted, which was made obvious by the remnants of blue tape left at the tops of the chains.
This course requires little energy to play, entirely on flat land other than the tee pad on hole #7, which requires you to walk up a slight hill. Tee pad not marked with a standing 4x4, but has one laying in ground along cart path.

I am affraid the cons outweigh the pros of this course, even though the cons don't make the course unplayable by any means.
Tee boxes lack any bit of signage. Other than a marker there is no hole number, distance, par or map, which may confuse a first timer on the course.
No trash cans located on the course, so be courteous and carry any trash you may create and take it with you.
The course is quite repetitive. All holes are a straight shot, although some have spotty trees around the baskets. Very little variation in distance as well. If you can throw a midrange disc straight you should have no problem shooting way under par on this course, even if you hit a tree or two.
My biggest con deals with the placement of the baskets vs tee pads. Basket positions are located extremely close to the next tee pads. When I say close, I mean less than 10 steps between them. Hole #5's basket is positioned with #6's tee pad right in front. This can be quite hazardous if this course happened to be crowded, which I wouldn't expect it to be. Course would be played most safely if groups give 1 hole spacing in between, which could get a bit rediculous if there were 5 groups or more on the course at a time.

Village Green is a passable DGC. Local players might be able to get some use out of it, but there is no reason to go out of the way to play it, unless you are looking to add a quick course to your played list. VG was a nice warm up for McCurry Park DGC, located about 10 miles east down GA-54. Actually spent more time trying to find the course than playing it, playing solo took no more than 15 minutes.
If you decide to visit VG, take I-85 South from downtown ATL. Exit 61, GA-74 and make a left(south towards Peachtree City). Travel about 10 miles, hang a left on GA-54. Turn right at the SECOND Willowbend Rd, less than a mile down GA-54. Course is located on right, just before the church. Parking in church parking lot puts you right at first hole, which is right against Willowbend Rd. Additional parking located across the street along with restroom and facilities.

Pros:
Wow, what a fun little course. This very short nine hole course gives you a chance to just relax and enjoy the game for what it is. You won't find any challenge to speak of but you will have a good time just getting out and playing.
This course gives a lesson to anyone wanting to build a course on a small section of land. They have used ever inch of it perfectly.
One's tee pad is set behind a small creek and even though it is only fifteen feet in front of you it is still always fun to throw over water. The next few follow its banks but don't really come into play. Number four is memorable as you have to throw under a golf cart bridge to reach the basket. It is again a nice use of existing land and structures. As you play back you will find that the tee pad for seven uses the paved path leading to the bridge as the tee pad. This gives a little elevation to an otherwise flat course. Everyone loves a little downhill shot, especially when an ace run is waiting. It's on through eight and finally nine where a nice punch out waits. It is only a few feet in front of you but still gives a bit of nostalgia to the hole. The creek runs behind the basket so that adds to the difficulty.
This is the superb course for kids and new players. Several churches are in walking distance and I ran into some youth groups that were using the course. What a great way to introduce young players to the sport.
One and nine end beside each other so it is convenient in that regard. The course flow was easy to follow. Basically just follow the perimeter of the park. Parking is close to holes one and nine.
If you want to get an ace, this is the place to go!

The old single chain Innova "DISCatchers" have seen better days. Considering their age they are still in decent shape but new baskets are due. Missing signs are a disappointment but won't be a big problem on such a small course although 4x4 posts mark the tees and faded numbers were visible on some. Tee pads were natural and had the expected problems. No run ups are necessary so that should not affect your game at all.
As primarily a forehand thrower I felt like I had an advantage on most holes. The woods to the right of the fairways on most of the holes won't allow a backhand shot to get much hyzer. You'll have to run strait at the basket or put a little Anhyzer on you shot. This is actually a pro if you are looking for a little challenge.
Once I pulled up to the course I realized there are no bathrooms. You may consider stopping before you park.

If this were my home course I would defiantly have to make up some new tees to add a little distance. Maybe shoot from two's tee to three's basket and so forth. Also some OB's could make this course a little more difficult. For example, two through five run opposite six through seven. An imaginary line between them would be a start. Add the woods on the sides and you could add a lot of challenge to this course.
Again this course is great for kids and new players. In that case it is just fine the way it is.
