Diamond in the Rough 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Aug 15, 2021 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

This is a course with an emphasis on finding a line and determining whether to go for it or lay-up. Going for it may result in looking for discs in the blackberries and ferns. It's a good course to hone shaping lines, especially for forehands. Good use of moderate elevation changes.

Cons:

Hole 9 should be skipped. There are no viable lines to the basket, and the steep drop off and blackberries to the right will shallow your disc. No long open holes to air out drives. For most players, only four holes have realistic birdie potential. Other than hole 9, this isn't the toughest course to par, but it's a tough course to bag more than a couple of birdies.

Other Thoughts:

Completely walk the entire course before your first round to determine basket location, possible lines and layup locations. Definitely print out the course layout to aid in navigation.

Great little course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 12, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

You'll have this course to yourself, and it's unexpectedly peaceful and quiet and very pretty. Someone has left nice rags on most holes to wipe your disc. The course is well marked and provides newer rubber tees. Easy to follow, logical.

Cons:

The course is very technical, and the tree undergrowth is mostly blackberries, so if you are at all worried that you might throw off fairway, you'll end up walking two or three holes.

Other Thoughts:

Fun tip: look for the abandoned piano harp.....

Decent Short Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 9, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

This is a fun short course that is nice for those living in towns south of Portland who want a quick nine to play. The course was in good shape when I played with trimmed grass in the fairways. There are some challenging holes with some tight windows.

It has a variety of holes that will challenge both right and left handed throwers. I enjoyed what they did with elevation and the natural tree obstacles. The course was clean and had concrete tee pads. Overall, I wasn't especially wowed by the course, but I enjoyed my time. I enjoyed the challenge and quality.

Cons:

Like the title suggests the course is pretty short. The part that I didn't love about this course was that some holes were technical to a fault. There are literally no good lines to throw through on a few holes. Thankfully, these are in the minority. I enjoyed the course, but its no Pier Park or Milo.
