"the Island", from the shorter tee pad, and for the intended group, does NOT require landing inside the 20' radius circle, but you may decide as a group to play it with the tougher challenge. If so, remember, anything not touching the pavers, but completely outside, would be 'O.B', and you take your penalty stroke and putt from the drop zone. For me, I run this one with my putter to fade in as close as possible.

"Center Field" throws to the original ('long') basket position for "Toss Across", with the difficulty coming only if you run it really long and into the woods rough beyond. I've evolved to throw a firm, straight comet pretty close here, but folks who don't yet have that distance might best throw a faster disc out to the side, with a chance to fade in to the pin.

Walk past the signs to the 'original' course holes (tuff up and touch down) to the opening for "Toss Across", then climb up to the 'long' tee. But note your target is only the 'short' basket position downslope from the sand volleyball court. From the tee, the target is not quite visible in the summer. I generally gauge the wind before going up, then slightly turn over a comet (rhbh) and see how close I can run it.

"On Deck" throws from mid-first base bench around the last cluster of trees and rough, to a basket fairly nearby the long tee for "Rocky", so again, be aware if anyone is over on that tee. And once again, as a pure rhbh comet thrower, a big, sweeping anny around the branches CAN ace run this basket!

"the Slot" turns around back toward the "Rocky" short tee area, so I need to be sure I'm not going to distract folks on that tee. But another great opportunity for a dead straight comet shot, as long as I can hit my line!

For a rhbh player like me, "Rocky" is a great opportunity to float a comet on an anhyzer line around the mid-fairway tree and in to the pin (as long as I'm lucky on missing the remaining guardian trees).

"Creekbound", to the short pin position, does not require passing between the 'mando' signs (but is an option for you and your cardmates if 'called' ahead of time). My greatest success here comes with a firm throw of a comet.

The first thing to do on "NO Ravine" is to look to the left, and up the 'Rocky" fairway, and make sure no one is already playing this basket position. It is the only 'shared' basket on the course, but allows FunBurg players to make the turn around without risking the ravine and the big hill beyond. The short, putter ace run has gaps in the guardian trees that could spoil your deuce chance if thrown out of control.

At 299', "Half Lane" is the longest hole at FunBurg, and is truly a par 3, 4, or 5 depending on the skill level. It plays from the right side of the fairway, slightly left to right to the original green, with the slope beyond down toward the river coming into play if you get overly aggressive on your approach. I tee off with a driver I'm able to turn over slightly (rhbh).

"the Lane" plays as a rhbh fade about a third of the way down the lane, and onto a small green on the left side. I throw either a Zone or an Anchor flat and firm to stall and fade left, spiking in as close as possible, but trying to avoid sliding too far to the left, where there's usually more standing water and rough.
