Wide Open 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 12, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Solid concrete tee pads
-The new nine holes have shiny new baskets.
-Many water holes with risk/reward play
-OK tee signs that give you somewhat of a clue to where the next hole is.
-A few open bomber holes that really test your arm.
-This course is located in a great family park.

Cons:

-No garbage cans throughout the course.
-Goose poo is EVERYWHERE on all the water holes.
-Some holes only have dirt tee pads.
-Not much elevation.
-Hole 1 has a giant tree root in the tee pad that could cause you to trip.
-Hole 18 is just kind of thrown in there.
-It is very easy to get lost here (Print out a course map)

Other Thoughts:

I would highly recommend printing out a course map for this one (Here is the link for it http://www.dgcoursereview.com.../553d9274.pdf ). I would say hole 11 would be this course's signature hole due to it being on top of a fancy hill. Overall it is a decent course but it has much room for improvement.

Water your discs here instead. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 4, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Get your driving arm in shape. Long distance drives with many out of bounds challenges. Nice maintenance.

Cons:

Almost every hole is the same, a long-generally straight drive 200-400 yarder with extensive amounts of goose poo on holes near the water.

Other Thoughts:

Not a bad play, it'll get your arm in shape and allow for some interesting short game to mid-range approaches. A breath of fresh air from Oshkosh's Red Arrow Course which is more of a short game course. Cleaner than Red Arrow generally a better choice when tossing in Oshkosh.

Info Please? 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 6, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

A nice spread out course good for a relaxing walk or jog.

Cons:

Bad tee boxes, bad course design.

Other Thoughts:

Does anyone have any real info on the progress of this course? I hope that they actually finish it this year... im tired of playing 15 holes. Someone said hole 16 is up but I can not find it and I know the park well.

County 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 18, 2008 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Has a good mix of short and long holes. Teaches you how to play in the wind. It is also clean compared to the other courses in the area.
Good use of the water in the park as well.

Cons:

Not many trees. Very open on just about every hole. Mostly Natural teepads but that is being changed. It is worth a play or two but if you live closer to Appleton than Oshkosh just play any of those courses instead.

Other Thoughts:

Hole 16 is in now. Not sure what is going on with the rest of the holes. Whoever is in charge of the course is doing some weird stuff. Five or so of the holes now have concrete teepads and there are a bunch of other concrete teepads around the park but no baskets to throw to with them. I am not sure why they didn't put teepads on the holes with baskets first but oh well.

Good Potential 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 12, 2008 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

A fun park with lots going on. Not too many trees, but enough to be a hassle and prevent you from completely unloading every shot. Water comes into play a couple times. Benches, trash, and signs aplenty. Even a small "pro shop" by the swimming area.

Cons:

Not all 18 holes completed yet, but my rating will jump a touch when they are.

Other Thoughts:

The park is a nice place for the whole Family to enjoy.
