Pretty cool course.. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 24, 2021 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Beautiful course (I only played the front 9 thus far). Hole 3 reminds me of throwing through to the witch's house in hansel and gretel. Hole 5 could be an ace or even an easy birdie hole if you practiced enough. Retarded downhill hard to the right.

Cons:

Mosquitos. The evening is best time time to play but the bugs will get you. It's a popular park so pick your times accordingly.

Other Thoughts:

I've only played a few times but there is a couple ace worthy holes that could be considered. Holes 3 and 5.

Very nice 9'er! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 5, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Beautiful and scenic course
Unique holes
Lots of signs pointing you to the next teebox
Very good use of land

Cons:

Lots of wind
Muddy & sloppy when it rains
Natural teepads

Other Thoughts:

How it played:
#1- is a low ceiling tunnel shot that you have to keep low in order to get close to the basket.
#2- is straightforward with a couple guarding trees out in front of teebox. If you can get through these with a disc that flips up, you might be parked.
#3- is a straight uphill valley/ravine shot. Interesting hole.
#4- throw from teebox throws over a small gorge while trying to stay right of the mando and hope that you crash hard left to get past the line of Sentinel trees on left side. From there you still have to try to find a line to the basket from the Sentinel trees the whole way to the basket which is guarded by sporadicly smaller trees.
#5- is a big wide-open shot down the dam's hallway with a flex forehand.
#6- plays long across a field with your second having to play over a plateau of cat tails onto an island like green. I lost a disc in such plateau.
#7- is pretty much straightforward with a low ceiling from low hanging branches unless you play a giant spike hyzer.
#8- doglegs slightly right which plays long into a field with the basket protected by large guardian trees.
#9- is in the middle of a field with the teebox playing out of a group of pinetrees with low ceiling and guardian trees sporadically around the basket . I chose to throw a roller and it worked out well.

Every hole only had one real metal tee sign. The other tee boxes had a laminated paper naming the hole. There were only two tee boxes per hole with white and blue playing from the same teebox. Overall this is a solid 9 tied with the likes of Two-Mile Run Extention. Also I heard rumor that there may be another 9 for the back in the future. If your in the area...PLAY IT!

Pros:

Great use of land. Good variety of shots, elevation and difficulty for all skill levels.

Cons:

Obviously teepads. Course is a bit sloppy after rain. Blue tee location for hole 3 kinda ruined the shot in my opinion. Hole 4 especially from the blue's was just dumb especially with the mando and no defined fairway.

Other Thoughts:

With concrete pads, 9 additional holes and some slight tweeks and clearing, this course has some real potential and easily be a 4 star rated course. I played it when it was raining and sloppy so I'm looking forward to playing it again when it's dry.

Pros:

Close to home. Fairly level. Short course plays quickly. Nice view from the dam to give sport exposure. Playground for the kids. Statrting to out up permenant signs

Cons:

Still new so tee pass still need broken in. Not all holes have signs. Watch out for bikers. Can get swampy after rain.

Other Thoughts:

Love this course. I heard they are trying to out in a second nine. The o.b. on 7 is annoying but doable.

Pros:

New and only course to the Meadville area. Very nice layout with woods, hills, and great scenery. Only a 9 hole course, but its still a work in progress with lots more to come. There will more than likely be another 9 holes later to come.

Cons:

Only thing I can think of it gets really wet and swampy when it rains .

Other Thoughts:

There will be more holes to come with hole signs and scorecards.

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 6, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Course is a much needed addition to the area. Fun 9 hole course with 3 tee pads per hole, so its possible to play 27 different tee shots per round. Definately room for another 9 holes in the future. Course starts off in a beautiful park setting then meanders into tight techlnical wooded holes. Hole 5 offers a stunning memorable down hill shot. You will then have a chance to air it out on a couple longer bomber holes with well placed obstructions and hazards. The easy flow of the course finishes back in the park with final hole.

Cons:

Course only a week old, so tee pads and signs need to be more defined. Newcombers may have trouble finding tees for next holes on a couple, just need to look around for them. Some of the fairways need to be widened out on a few, its important to keep an eye on discs shot into rough were the tall grass makes it difficult to find discs.

Other Thoughts:

Course offers big time exposure too observers, giving oportunities for huge growth of the sport in the area. With the addition of another 9 holes, course has potential to reach tournament level.

decent new course 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 7, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Its a decent new course is NWPA, an area that is lacking disc golf courses. There are red, white, and blues tees on most holes for different levels of players. The course is challenging and easy to navigate. The targets are brand new and are very well placed. There is a good mix of open and wooded holes.

Cons:

There are only little white signs and little red flags that mark where to tee off from. The signs do not have the distance or the par for the hole. The tees are grass and dirt and some need to be leveled out and more defined. Most of the course has tall grass on either side of the fairway which makes it hard to find your disc at times. On busy days at the park you may have people walking through the course. This course gets really swampy when it rains. Holes 2, 6, 7, 8, are the worst with lots of standing water and behind the target on 9 there is a huge puddle. Looks like it will take awhile to dry out. When it is dry you really got to watch where your walking in certain areas where the land is extremely bumpy so you don't sprain you ankle.

Other Thoughts:

This is a new course and its still a work in progress. So far it is a playable course the way it is but will be even better with the improvements that will be made in the future. It is only a 9 hole course but you can play it multiple times and go from different tees each time. There are plenty of chances to throw long drives at the more open holes and technical throws on the wooded ones. Hole 5 would a signature hole which is an extreme downhill throw and also presents a great view. Just make sure you don't go to far to the right as you will have a very difficult time finding your disc. Also be careful on hole 6 to stay out of the really tall stuff. This course is worth checking out if your in the area and is at a very nice park.
