-This course is located in a very pretty forest, but during the winter/early spring, beware of invisible branches.
-Baskets are great quality, they all have flags to add visibility
-Fairways are nice, a couple rocks in the ground that will tear up discs, but otherwise good.
-Roughs are manageable, this course is so thickly wooded the fairways and roughs are very similar, which adds a fun new aspect to play
-The map on DGCR is helpful because the first tee is a bit of a walk from the parking lot
-There are some really cool shots on this course, resulting from the sprinkling of massive boulders, a new and welcome obstacle to my disc golf game
-Tee signs are very nice with distance and par, also distance markers along the fairway

-This course is so wooded, you have to pick a tree to hit, I'm all for tricky wooded tunnels, but jeez this is a little much.
-Very short course, only one hole is over 350', That was the only hole I used a distance driver for.
-Tee pads are really poor quality, they are gravel and have massive holes where people have platend their feet.
-There are sharp rocks all over this course, asking you to destroy all you discs, I found myself wincing a lot out here.
-Long walk from parking lot to tee 1.

New tee boxes have been installed at each of the 9 holes with gravel and stone dust. Makes for a much better level surface to throw from. Previously it was just rocks and roots. Also target flags have been put onto the baskets. You can see the baskets from the tees now. A "tossed and found" box has been added on the patch from the entrance. Fairways have been cleared and undergrowth pulled away as well. Seems to be well maintained by the park.
Holes can be challenging where some are narrow. Easy to overshoot. Good placement of baskets. Course is easy to follow.

Holes are shorter in length than nearby courses and most are fairly straight. Some people seem to think it's okay to drop their trash anywhere. If everyone picks up a little as they go through the course, it would clean it up a bit. No signs showing the layout at each hole.

Adding blue tees to make it more challenging would be a nice addition. Also, making it into 18 holes since it looks like they have the space to do so.

Nice Baskets, in great shape.
Fair lines, with options on most holes.
Good use of space.
Nice mix of uphill, elevation,right to left ,and left tot right shots.
Cool distance markers to pin in the fairways.
Great setting and atmosphere.
Practice basket.

Lack of tee pads and foot fault lines.
Uneven tee surface.
No hole layout at tees.
Only nine holes.
Navigation is tough on first go of it.

Really enjoyed playing this one, even thought it's just a small nine hole run.
Tee pads are needed very badly. At the least aleveling of the box area should be completed with foot fault lines clearly marked.
Tough but fair lines. Liked the mix of shots here.
Clean park, trash cans, however did notice a good amount of empty beers along the way. ( If you brought it in full, you can carry it out empty!!!)
Course could make a 4 Star or better with tee pads, an back nine, and just a touch of love.

*Hole 1 is difficult to find the first time you go- from the main lot you need to walk down the fairway of hole 9 to get there.

This is a course that has potential to be a very good course. The land it is built on has plenty of interesting elevation changes and natural rock formations. The fairways are super tight woods that reward controlled shots.The signs are carved and painted wood, and a recent addition to the course has been distance to the basket distance markers nailed to trees along the fairways. Whoever is working on this course is definitely continuing to better the course. Teeboxes NEED to be addressed soon, as the footing on many of the teeboxes makes you think twice about a run up.

I really enjoy this little course, and will be monitoring its development. I also plan to call the number to volunteer my time to help develop it further.

If they added a back nine it would be a much better course and would hide some of the bad in the first nine, overall its great if you have a friend you're trying to introduce the game to, or want to bring your dog

Nine holes with new Chainstar baskets. Holes are all par threes that are reachable for most arms with solid fairways. Fairways are tight, but they're not pinball shots. Some left handed holes along with right handed holes and solid elevation changes. This course pays homage to the eastern MA staple of Borderland State Park, with signature basket six on an elevated rock formation. The elevation changes are rather similar to what you'd find at Dacey Fields. Other amenities available. Holes 1-8 loop on themselves and nine leaves you close to the parking lot.

Other than the tees that have flypads (which are short), the natural tees are still new and kind of tough for a cross step or full run-up. Hole one has a large stump right in front of its teebox so take care. There are some precarious steep hills, so if the course is wet take extra care. Tee signs are small, so keep your eye out for them.

Once again Jay Mello has taken a park with unused land and created a solid place for disc golf. Well done Jay and others who pitched in to bring this area some sorely needed disc golf courses. More of these courses are needed to start taking traffic from Borderland. I can't wait to see this course get an additional nine.

I didn't get to explore the whole park, but driving through I saw a memorial, tons of campsites, picnickers in full force, some football or soccer fields, a zoo (!), and a lot of woods. Not a bad place to spend a fall afternoon.

The course is a 9-hole loop entirely in the woods. There are decent elevation changes, although strangely I don't remember a hole with significant downhill elevation changes. They are mostly in the 200-300 foot range. One hole claimed to be over 400 feet, but that distance was suspect.

The fairway design looked good, and a few holes had separate lanes to the basket.
I didn't have to consult the map after finding hole 1.

A few holes have baskets perched on rocky outcroppings, similar to what you see at Borderland and Dacey.

The course is new and still feels pretty rough. The fairways are nicely cleared of saplings and are more than playable, but throughout the entire course you are wading through underbrush. It's not terribly thick or thorny, more just annoying. I feel like some of this could be sprayed and killed.

Two tee pads had rubber pads that were maybe 5 feet long, and the rest were just stakes in the ground. I didn't feel comfortable with an X-step on several holes.

The tee signs just list the distance. On a few holes you couldn't see the basket, so the first time through I was guessing. The tees could definitely use some orange flags on top to make them more visible.

The walk from the lot to hole 1 wasn't awful but was longer than you'd like. Same with the walk from 3 to 4.

After playing through 6 groups at Borderland, it was nice to come here and only run into one other group. This fills a niche in this area as Borderland gets more and more crowded. That said, in its current state it's less rec-friendly than Borderland until more of the ground shrubs (or whatever you might call them) are gone.

I wonder if there is an opportunity for 9 more holes, perhaps using the power line easement on the other side of the parking lot for a few holes?

I would gladly come back once some better tee pads are in and the fairways are a little clearer.

Brand new course cut out of previously unused forest! A nice hike and great variety for a niner.
Great use of the landscape , with big boulders and natural hills in play to great effect. Elevation and nice tree lines make it more than a pitch and putt.
Fresh baskets with very helpful directional arrows
pointing towards the next hole. Didn't use the map once, which is rare for a first play through.
A couple benches make a casual round more comfortable.

Some tee areas are uneven, makes for interesting run-ups. I think only two holes had short rubber tee pads. Hopefully they'll flatten some of those up. I don't mind rustic though.
Didn't see any trashcans, but since its brand new there didn't seem to be much foot traffic yet and no trash on the course (yet)
Seems the distance listed on some of the temporary signs is inaccurate. One hole said 450 but played like 325, and the last hole was most certainly longer than listed.
First time through required some spotting to see blind baskets. Not really a con except for that first time through.

I'd play this again and heard from a local that 9 more holes are coming.
