2018 Master Cup Santa Cruz, CA

I hope Ricky lays an egg today and Philo/Anthon takes it. Tired of the Paul, Ricky, Simon, Eagle show...

same, except definitely rooting for philo not anthon. also wish round 3 was still on real de la

It would be cool to see Philo get his first big win. But I don't see Ricky losing this one.

I hope they all play well, but Philo absolutely shreds it to take it down. Much more satisfying to win with everyone playing well as opposed to opponents punting it away.

Looking at the F9 now on Youtube and on hole 10 you can see Val carry her own bag

Very unfortunate what happened to Val, but at least the rules were applied correctly and there should be no controversy (like Nikko-Ricky-McCray or the Big Jerm mando line...).

You've got to be kidding me. From what the TD says, it's clear he didn't want to disqualify her, but he had to, per the rules. Such a shame.

A shame that the rules have to be followed at one of the biggest events on the PDGA calendar?

Or a shame that the TD was put in that uncomfortable position by a highly respected player who should know better?

A shame that Val was disqualified. I have absolutely no problem with the rules being applied to every player, doesn't matter who you are. And yes, that must have been tough for the TD. I guess we'll have to find out more details before jumping to conclusions about what happened.

I don't know if anyone noticed but Paul seemed to be attacking a lot of the holes differently this year. He and Drew practice together and are both taking the same lines, I wonder if Drew influenced his shot selection. I don't know why he would change the game plan after shooting a 15 down last year.

For such an ambassador of women's disc golf this is truly a shame for her. I'm also wondering how it all went down, because for it to be reported the caddie must of been visibly acting strangely. Did it happen in r2 or did she get dq'd before / during the last round? Either way there should be some video coverage since Val was on the lead card for round 2,3.
