Paige Pierce To Discraft 2020

Discraft said:
Paige kicks things off with a Test Flight putter. A very limited number of pre-release signed Test Flights are available NOW on PaigePierce.com. The full Test Flight putter release will be on Discraft.com on Black Friday.
Get your checkbooks out.

I guess we will see if the PP discs get anywhere near the buzz the PM discs got.

wow...

"This is a limitless contract. There is no question it's the largest female contract in disc golf, but with some of our new additions, it could be considered the largest disc golf contract in history. Discs are just one piece of the deal. We're helping her build her brand." - Bob Julio Team Manager

edit: Sorry, didn't see this quoted above. :(

Also...how do they sign somebody and make a putter to their personal specifications, run it and get it in the market so fast?

From her website:

In an effort to grow the FPO galleries and add to the excitement starting in 2020 I want to try something new. I have observed over the years that when we have more people watching it adds motivation and therefore translates to better scores. This is very exciting to me as a competitor. It adds to the already intense battle we have in the Pro Women's field!
With all of that being said... To everyone that comes and watches me in action at a tournament round and is wearing a piece of Paige Pierce gear, you will receive a special invite to a post round powwow. This will include a meet-and-greet and Q&A where we can interact at a time when you can get my full attention!

Wow she have a new webshop with discs and other stuff. . and a new loggo

Wonder how close to a Deputy that test flight PP Putter will be

They started this in August from the looks of things
That's three months. That still seems really, really fast to me. They have to make a mold, get it into the production schedule, etc. Unless it's a "lets slap existing mold pieces together and see what we get" disc it just strikes me as a really fast process.

It's funny...this isn't a new thing for Discraft. Cam Todd won his Worlds in 2001 throwing Innova and he then went to Discraft shortly after. Pretty sure the rumor was they made him the Chally, Wasp and Predator to sweeten the deal.

To be fair, it's not really a new thing for any company. Juliana Korver won her first three titles with Discraft before Innova lured her over and she won two more.

Also, I'm pretty sure the Challenger already existed before Cam went to Discraft. But they did do a special run of them in a new plastic blend, hence the CT Challenger was born. Can't speak to the timing of the Wasp or Predator though.

I mean...aren't most of Paul's discs versions of older molds? Maybe it's the same for PP.

That's what it was...my bad. Thanks for the correction!

So this was in the works since at least Worlds this year. I've heard the story that Paul got into discussions with Discraft at Ledgestone. Maybe other brands shouldn't be sending their players to Peoria? ;)

All discs are tweaked/modified versions of older molds at this point. I imagine no disc is designed entirely from scratch any more.

Probably the same way that McBeth got the Kong/Zeus:
Walk to the rack of old prototype molds, blow off the dust, and say, "Here's the new mold that Discraft made for me."

aren´t EVERY disc a version of an old mould ? ;)

I mean they are literally made from existing mold pieces Discraft HAD. Not like...oh this mold is based off a Roc.

I've heard:

Zeus - Kong proto driver that never made production
Anax - some version of a Tsunami
Malta - Nebula
Luna - modified Roach
