USDGC 2023 - 25th edition

It may be about time for Major tournaments (and A tiers that pretend like they are Majors but really aren't) to have Marshalls following the top cards to help with card rulings.... regardless, the last few holes on this course are so good for end of round drama.

Congrats to Holyn. Even if she didn't win today, it felt like it was only a matter of time until she grabbed her first.

Holyns game has been strong for some time, she has just not been "the closer" . . i think shes even 3rd in World rankings .
Fun tournament, all the top players had their hot round .. . and their struggles

Kristen has 3 tournaments all year not beeing top 2!! ..but Holyn has been in the top 8 in all but 5 of the tournaments this year. .

Hard to let that bad play on hole 9 from KT go. . .she lost a throw for no reason
Hot take:

Kristin's purposely doing things to ensure scores are tight during the last few holes. All part of the bigger plan...

Can someone summarize playoff hole 18?
I was peeking in on UDisc and saw it was 2 shots on hole 16. I watched DGN until Tattar's drive on tourney hole 18, then had to work. Came back to a Holynn win.

Lead card with 3 missed C1X putts on hole 1.... it may already be time to tune in.

Playoff never got to 18. Holyn won after Kristin dunked her drive on 17 in the water. They both parred the first hole of playoff.

Hole 18 regulation, Holyn bogeyed after going OB twice on 18, Kristin birdied 18 to tie it up.

Six shot lead, Calvin and Ricky both in trouble on 11, Williams losing ground fast....

Kyle Klein is our US Champ, right? The kid is just too good to shit the bed at this point.

Am I trying to jinx him? I don't even know!

Is that an accurate number for how many were watching on DGN?
No....I was absolutely guessing. I would be very surprised if that many were watching a FPO A Tier, on a pretty awful course. Maybe somebody has those numbers? Though, not very DGN/DGPT like, to endorse transparency. The view count on free youtube FPO coverage from Thurs. is 32K.

I'd say Klein's hole 10 pretty much seals the deal. Barring act of Rod, Tod, or Maude.. this one is O V E R.

I have only watched 2 events this year in FPO. I honestly totally forgot it was an A Tier until the crew on the call mentioned it late. It was an exciting battle, just focusing on the competitors at the top, and I could not stay away during the last half of a round. Same for yesterday where I watched the second half of the FPO round.

By contrast... I haven't turned on MPO, the Major tournament, yet this weekend.
