Just FYI, if you try to post on an old thread you get "This Thread is more than 43 days old, you can't reply to it." I thought I knew that, just wanted to pass it on. Cheers.
You lean your spine backwards in the backswing, off balance, and you don't brace against your front leg effectively so you seem to be spinning out and leaking power.
Hmm... My guess is that there's no reason for me to pick up a Chief since I drive with an Envy, but the Shaman might be useful as a driving putter with more turn.
So.. I might have done a bad thing. After my 2nd meeting with my PT, I went out and threw. o.O
However, I only threw like 30-40 discs and it was just to confirm some suspicions, which I did. After watching Lizotte, Wiggins, and Gurthie at the Texas Open, I noticed how at the apex of their throw...
Went to a "deep in the game" clinic and, unfortunately, Simon Lizotte didn't show. Avery's great and all, but I feel like his throw is ... different. I think he uses a lot of athleticism and arm. Anyhow, large class, I just mainly went to see Simon throw 700 ft and not cause I thought I'd really...
I'm just going to the ortho to confirm that's what it is, mainly.
And yeah, the annoying part is that hammer video you posted really helped, I think, and I'm more conscious of keeping my whole body turning together which has GOT to be easier on my arm than letting it race ahead as I was doing.
Based on the fact that my pain isn't really going away when I grip and that my lateral epicondyle seems to be inflamed, I'm guessing I have tennis elbow. :(
Hitting an orthopedist on Monday, but I might be out longer than I want.
If you're only throwing an Inertia 335ish, you should NOT get a max weight. Get something like ~166g or so. It will still be plenty over stable, but you MIGHT get some distance out of it at a lower weight.
... actually, I forgot about my Skulboy Teslas, which I've also thrown in the field, so I've thrown 6 different Teslas (o.O), though I've only thrown 3 of them on the course.
I'm so glad Mike C. posted right after this. Or maybe Mike has an armspeed issue, too? ;)
(Again, the light weight Teslas might have SOME turn, but ALL Volts have more, for me, and I ain't even throwing 550'. I own 4 Teslas to compare and 3 Volts.)
