OK I have definitely never loaded my back hip like in that pitching drill before. That feels really foreign. I'm getting it while holding onto something but when I don't have a balance tool it's hard, and when I try it from an xstep it's REALLY hard.
Oh ok. In the meantime while I retry it, this is me attempting to rotate my hips in place and stay over the front leg. Is this closer to the idea of a correct throw or completely wrong still?

I practiced this, it feels a lot like doorframe drill. I'm not sure how it translates to a real throw. It doesn't seem like anyone actually throws from on top of their front leg, they are always behind their front leg.
looks like slow motion
why does my throw look like i'm in slow motion.

Getting the concept
I spent a couple hours on these drills. I'm feeling and understanding the concepts of clearing the rear hip and hips rotating in place, but what's the approach here? Do I just spend some time doing the drills everyday and hope it finds it's way into my swing?
Also when I...
SSDD
Still constantly working on form when I can. But doing the same garbage I always have. Never quite figured out how to get up on that front leg, and got into playing tournaments so I quit trying to adjust my throw. Not really planning on playing any tournaments this year so I'm back to...
Why does it seem like pros hips and head stay back behind the front leg? Their head and hips are aligned but not on top of the front leg. Like in these clips. They don't get on top of the leg until long after release?

I see a lot about shifting from behind aka the left butt moving towards the target. I also see a lot about "bracing" against the front leg, which is what is supposed to move that lower body power into the upper body, and then finishing on top of the front leg.
It seems to me that shifting from...
Not Slacking
I have tried taking video a couple times from the side, but while trying to move laterally, I end up just sticking my butt out towards the target. It looks bad, it feels bad, and it's just not right , so I"m still working on the lateral movement. Once i feel like I have made some...
@slowplastic - I feel the blocking my body out. The issue is I feel as though I can't clear my front hip without either turning plant foot toes much more towards the target or having my rear leg come out around. Neither of these things seem to happen naturally before the disc ejects so I'm...
Ok here's some from behind while actually throwing.

Thanks for the write-up. I'll keep reviewing it.
One Leg Drill 1.0
Here's an initial one leg drill video.

For future videos should I be aiming for the initial part of the seabas22 video, where he posts up with the rear leg in the back swing with weight still on the front and...
Decided to just upload video of current throw. I really just want to figure out how to clear the hip and pivot on the heel or whatever. As you will see my leg just sticks in the ground and won't turn out. If one leg drill is still what I need, I will start working on that...
