As you drive up to the course and spot the yellow Discatchers barely showing over the tall bushy plants, your first thought will be, "Oh, No!" And in this case, your first impression is right on.

The nine Discatchers are spaced out in what technically speaking are two vacant lots. Baskets 1 & 9 are in one lot with the others, #'s 2 through 8 set in the second lot across the street. Lot # 1 is the dumping ground for the neighborhood with piles of grass clippings, leaves, rocks and dirt lying everywhere. It makes for a rather unappetizing disc golf course.

There actually are some small boards sticking up with a number on them. I either couldn't find or chose not to stomp through the tall, wet plants to find all of them. I did manage to locate most of them. They're actually still standing and like the baskets, are in good shape. Apparently, the vandals choose not to journey into this tall growth, either afraid of possible snake attacks or just don't want to get their boots wet!

The tees/holes that I actually located were;
1. Found the basket but couldn't find the board.
2. 150' straight and open.
3. About 220' throwing back to the center of the lot.
4. About 240' throwing to the corner.
5. Too wet.
6. To far,
7. About 225'.
8. Tees off from near the street to basket by # 2.
9. Cross street into dump but couldn't find a board.

Pitch and putt.

Overgrown bushes. You could lose your disc one foot from the basket. I had a putt bounce out and hunker down in the tall bushes growing up through the cage. I had to complete a full circle disc search twice around the basket before spotting my hot pink putter.

This course obviously doesn't get much play. I can't imagine bringing a sorority girl out to the vacant lots here to play disc golf. She would be sure you are some kind of sadistic Freddy Krueger type. They're the only ones that would be hanging out here in the tall bushes and grass clippings, them and us dedicated bat-shit crazy, course baggers.

My only regret here is that I don't have a great catchy review title like Discette. Her's is a classic and so very appropriate for this course.

This is a small campus course across the street from the Greek houses at the private University of Redlands. I think it is cool that these college kids have a 9 hole course right outside their door.

This course is not located in a park. These are a couple of vacant lots with a 9 Hole disc golf course installed. There is an old set of abandoned railroad tracks bordering the length of the "park". After you play Hole 1, cross the street and play Holes 2 though 8 on the larger lot. After 8, cross back to play Hole 9 back to the parking area.

When I played in June, the grass was all dry and mostly trampled down. It was pretty dusty and exposed and the tumbleweeds are thriving. It looks like the drought claimed a few trees that are completely dead, but still standing. I notice a player from the winter complained in the course conditions that the grass was too tall and the lot was muddy. Conditions will vary with the seasons.

The course is apparently perfect for glow golf as evidenced by the amount of leftover glow sticks/trash.


Targets are in fantastic shape. They still look brand new.

Safari with ease. It is kind of fun when you get to be the course designer. As I was walking over to tee 5 as indicated by the map, I figured it would be much more challenging o play from the far corner behind me. I then walked up and played the regular tee on my way. It is very easy to play safari golf here and make up your own tees and targets. If you think "that" would be a great spot for a tee, go ahead and tee from there, because you can be the designer.


Plenty of parking next to Tee 1 and Target 9.

Kids, Carts and Strollers. No to all three. You don't need a cart to carry your putter and a mid range. Dusty, sandy, rocky terrain not suitable for strollers of any kind. There is nothing else for kids to do here except play disc golf, get cut by broken beer bottles or mess with the red ants. No restrooms, no trashcans, no running water! NO!

This course is located on a miserable piece of real estate that is not suitable or appropriate for any other human activities. Course traverses a couple of dry, dusty vacant lots covered in tumbleweeds, trash and broken glass.

There are no signs, no tees, no restrooms, no running water, no tees and no trashcans.

Not a"lot" of variety as designed. Get it..... a "lot"!?! Harharhar!

Natural tees are (supposed to be) marked by large rocks. The DGCR map gives a good indication where to find the next tee. Although you can probably design a better location for the next tee on your own.

There are no trashcans anywhere and the course was littered. Some of the trash was from being a vacant lot, the remaining trash was left by inconsiderate players.

Even though the dead grass was "mowed" and trampled, the dry foxtails and tumbleweeds were a bit bothersome.

There are a lot of red ants, not fire ants. But big red ants. Watch your feet. You don't need to bring your bag to play this course, so you don't have to worry about setting it on the ants.

Not a full time course? Apparently they remove the course in the summer when University is not in session. School had already ended when I played in early June. ???? Until the University decides this land is better suited as a parking lot, there will be some disc golf in Redlands.

No restrooms and no privacy of any kind on the exposed lots.

Not a destination course. If you happen to be driving by on I-10, and you want to bag another 9 Hole course, give it a play. Otherwise, move along! Nothing to see here.

My Rating: It has 9 beautiful targets. If you have any kind of imagination you can make up your own set of challenging holes. Great for practice rounds. I will give this course a "passing grade" of 1.5 because it has potential.

This course desperately needs a clean up and some personal attention. I wish some of the Greek houses would take pride in this because: "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son."

Like the description says this is a field I don't know who owns it but they do have regulation baskets 9 of them no tea boxes no signage this would be a great project to bring it around I guess you get what you pay for
