~ Outfitted with the usual DiscGolfPark equipment: Mat tees, excellent signage and baskets, a big course map. A lot of work went into building tees that are very level, including those on hillsides. This is a private facility, and there's a donation box on the way to the first tee.


~ Built on a former resort golf course. Very little shade, and there can be lots of wind. There are some rolling hills, but it's wide open, dotted by former greens, bunkers and teepads. This is a sprawling layout that uses most of the old golf property. As you play the opening holes, you see a lot of baskets out in the far distances.


~ Although hole #3 is a long (600' par 4) dogleg around a stand of a few trees, hole #4 is the first time any trees come into the line of play. The most significant feature of the course is the property's elevation changes, so the variety comes with how each hole plays up, down, over or across hills and valleys, rather than a mix of open/wooded holes


~ Co-designed by pro player Dustin Keegan, the holes are pretty long, and there's not much to interfere with big arcing throws. If you have a 350' hyzer, you're gonna use that shot all day


~ Forest Hills is "beginner friendly" only in the sense that there's little trouble to be found. If you throw long but still haven't got a lot of control, you'll probably scramble your way through the course just fine


~ They've done a really good job here trying to make something out of the old golf course. Plenty of space for hosting a C Tier, local tags, etc. It doesn't have much personality and the holes are easily forgotten, but it's clean, well-kept, on a nice piece of property

Fun, long, beginner friendly course at a church property on what obviously used to be a ball golf course. Well maintained. GOOD signage at each tee. LARGE artificial turf tees. Baskets are in good shape and each has accurate, metal, next tee arrows. Most holes throw either up, down, or across a hill or gully. Rough along the edge of many holes as well as trees and fairly minimal brush in the fairways add some interest and challenge. Given the length of the course, it's a little hard to call it beginner friendly, but you're unlikely to lose a disc or get into real trouble. If the course is open, it's unlikely to be crowded.

No public restrooms. I'm okay with artificial turf tees, but I imagine they would be slippery when wet. A few tees aren't quite at ground level, but judging from the new dirt piles around some of them, the owners are trying to fix that. And the tee drop off is a lot less than I've seen at other courses.

Dogs are NOT allowed. Seasonal; and private, unavailable at times when the Bongiorno Conference Center is booked. It would be a good idea to call first in the summer. I think the number is 717-243-7381. LOTS of opportunities for roll-aways if your disc gets sideways or the wind catches it. I enjoyed playing here today on a beautiful fall day a lot.

Brand new course that takes advantage of some rolling elevation to carve out a fun and long course through what used to be an old ball golf course.

On a retreat center's property, it's a a real treat to play a course that's so wide open where you can really let the disc rip but not have to worry about many dogs or kids or picnics. In this area it's mostly narrow wooded courses or public parks, this is neither.

The elevation is a workout. You will get exhausted playing this course going up and down. Now I know why DGLO is considered a whole different experience on the pro tour. I'm in good shape and hardly ever winded on a course, but I was here.

Smart use of the available area to keep things interesting despite it being so wide open. The middle third plays along a very tricky rough/hedge, so you'll want to use your max power but be careful not to hyper out or turnover. The final third has some nicely carved turns around the relief that require a bit more shop shaping.

Private course, very well-maintained, new signage.

It's a bunch of wide open holes, there's some protected greens with baskets behind trees and you do have to be careful to keep your drives low on some throws, but it's not particularly picturesque or natural. You're definitely out in the open the whole day without much shade either. There's some OB across concrete and stuff but mostly throw far and you'll be in good shape. Wish there was more variety but the landscape is what it is.

It's a workout going up and down the hills, so that may be a plus for some or a negative for others.

This is a great addition to the local scene and a fun course that favors a different skillset than some of the other local courses. If you've got a big arm you can take advantage of some of your more accurate buddies. Great place to practice expanding your distance or getting your rollers down.
