MAJOR Disappointment 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jul 14, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

Innova DISCatchers. That's it.

Cons:

Poorly maintained. Missing tee signs. Can't find 3's basket. Hole 1- my thought was that's interesting. Hope it improves. Hole 2- No clear line. Straight uphill through woods. Hole 3 - Tee sign missing. I think I found the pole it used to be on? Walked through over 200' of stinging nettles trying to find the basket. Never did. Hole 4 - Hey, a tee sign! You can see where a fairway was cleared out through woods, but is not maintained. Weeds taller then knees. Hole 5 tee sign missing. Hole 6- grass is over my knees. I'm not going to through a disc and search for it 30 minutes. At this point, I'm done.

Other Thoughts:

This was my 226th course played in 20 states. It was only the 3rd course I've ever walked off of because it was so bad I didn't want to finish. Was super stoked to play this on previous review, but I now notice that review is 4 years old. I believe at one time this was super cool, but now it's super bummer.

Re-Design is very tame 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Sep 7, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

+Nice baskets. They are numbered.
+Camp is scenic
+Shouldn't lose a disc with redesign
+Other stuff to do here if you want to camp.

Cons:

-No tees or markers at all. Much less fun for me just teeing next to a basket to the next one.
-No signage at all. Flow is pretty poor. Can see many baskets at once most of the time.
-Course throws too close to the roads and other camp activities. They basically threw all 9 baskets in areas that already were going to be maintained as to not create any extra work on this course.

Other Thoughts:

-They redesigned this course after not being able to mow and maintain the other course on site. The old course was much longer with much better elevation change.
-This land has the potential for a great course but disc golf is not a priority here. This is a cool place and nice camp but disc golf is about the last thing on their minds.
-I had rated the old course at 3.5 when I reviewed it a few months after opening. This course is much shorter and more tame. Really not very fun.
-Don't come here unless you are staying here or are a big time course bagger.
-Pictures are the old course for the most part, not an accurate reflection of what is really here.
