I agree, but even knowing this I still sometimes get so focused on positions I end up too tense and lose track of the feels.
This reminded me of Blake_t and the "Incomplete" Secret Technique thread...
That you are throwing nose up, which decreases distance. Putters and mids are not as sensitive to this as drivers.
To get a feel for the angle a disc prefers to fly on, hold it out of a vehicle as you drive SLOWLY. Do this with putters, mids, and drivers.
Also, if you plan to work on your...
I appreciate some of what he brought to the community. His closed shoulder snap drill sure helped my progress.

By the way, Richard Hatton has a helpful tip to go with that drill.

It just became so off-putting that when people who had...
Blake Takkunen is the first I know who used the term rail (not sure if he used wide rail, but I think that is what he described when with about Dan Beato .
For those who are unfamiliar with him, you might enjoy looking through the old Disc Golf Review forum...
I just started playing with a small pump and saw Uli's advice in the Scratch to Scratch series.
I did not know his timing advice was not quite right and have been incorporating my pump based on it.
I did not realize until this thread that I was not doing exactly what he said actually got the...
Hi, my name is Surly, and I am a long-suffering, strong-armer.
I try to find anything, anywhere that might help me improve my form. This nugget from one of his videos has stayed with me and done just that:
"You're loose. You are so unbelievably loose, and then I bet you are actually still not...
I believe he is Paul Ulibarri's coach, so I hope so.
I found him through some of Robbie C's videos.

My weight shift needs improvement as well.
This Michael Strauss lesson with a pressure board is interesting.

Has anyone tried working with one?
Ii search but could s there a way to embed
After all the reading, watching videos {pros throwing, pros teaching, SW, Overthrow, Slingshot, etc.), practicing, recording my throw, practicing more, I still do not use my core well enough, so these type of threads really interest me. They also confuse me.
I know feel ain't real so what some...
Blake_t would agree. He wrote the following in the thread "Disc Golf the secret technique... Almost complete":
- most body motions are over-rated. i've found a 20 degree body rotation with no reach back can still yield a 275'+ throw with a small arm twitch and using no leg power. increasing the...
I like Josh's teaching style and videos. I think he is very good at diagnosing and focusing on root causes of form issues and not all the symptoms, which is helping me diagnose my own issues.
I have been/tried to be a pour the coffee thrower for 30 plus years and have recently tried supinating...
I recommend recording your throw, especially from the side.
I had not done so in a while and was mortified to see I had developed a high, low, high swoop that resulted in some ugly nose up throws.
Feel ain't real.
I did this for more than a few years and it worked well for me. I carried three rocs - one newish, one a little seasoned, and one well-seasoned
Pros - same mold/same hand feel can cover all your mid range needs. Less expensive than going premium plastic.
Cons - when I lost my well-seasoned...
What do you currently have in your bag?
Given your current distance, I would hold off adding any distance drivers. Throwing discs with speed ratings too high for your current power and trying to get them to fly to their ratings can lead to form issues that are very hard to unlearn.
Joe's...
I use a Pinnacle Rival(167g) for what I used to use a dx Teebird for.
I prefer Star-like plastics over Chamion-like plastics but found the one Icon Rival I have thrown to be too dumpy for what I want with this slot.
After beating in my dx Teebirds a little, they tended to lose a some low speed...
