For those new to Ice Bowls Glenn will be happy to explain all of this to you. The Idea behind this is to help feed our communities by doing something we love to do, PLAY DISC GOLF! Every year generous but not necessarily great players, spend extra Mulligans to achieve that elusive 18 UNDER! We award 5 divisions, Open/Advanced, Intermediate, Rec/Novice, Women and Juniors under 15 with some creative style awards!
The 2021 Ice Bowl is a 1 week Flex Start charity fund raiser from Friday March 19 thru Thursday March 25. It is a 1 round of 18 holes (all short pads and pins) with all profits going to the Murrieta Food Pantry. To date we have raised $14,057 due to your generous support of our local Ice Bowl. You must have a MRDGC 2021 Club Bag Tag and make a $5 donation to participate. You will get 1 raffle ticket for your donation. The $5 donation does not get you any Mulligans. There is NO Ace Pool, but if you get one we will congratulate you!
Allen Risley has agreed to make this part of the Golden Sombrero series. With the flex start it cannot be part of the So Cal Series. But for those competing for the Golden Sombrero, think of the point possibilities!
For 2021 we brought back an improved version of the Murrieta Rattlers Club disc. The price on the disc run from $15 to $25 and you will get 1 raffle ticket for each $5 spent. As usual the disc will have a countdown, so early sign up gets you the best selection of disc. There are glow club minis and glow Mt Pride minis for $5 each and 1 raffle ticket each.
In past years all your Mulligans are also a Raffle tickets. This year is a little different.
You will get 1 raffle ticket per $5 donation. i.e. $5 buy-in +$15 disc +$5 Mini = 5 Raffle Tickets Mulligans can be purchased at $5 for 5 for and as many as it takes to win the round. Your $5 Mulligan buy is good for 1 Raffle Ticket. Additional Raffle tickets are $5 each. In past years we had hundreds of raffle tickets. I am just trying to reduce the number of raffle tickets created, while still giving those that want to win, an opportunity to get more raffle tickets.
The Raffle will include an Innova Traveler basket, a variety of discs, and misc items from the club store. This is when the store clears out items over a year old like socks, shirts, and jackets. The higher the raffle contribution the more prizes will be added.
Disc and mini delivery will be at the course March 20 and 27. Items can be arranged for pick up at Mt View Tire, from Glenn while he is working at the course, or mailed. The store will handle cash sign ups on March 20 from 9 till 1.
The winner in each division will receive a custom-made Ice Bowl trophy.
