How does one lose a club in golf? Get mad and throw it into the lake? :lol:

I was at Verdugo Hills a month or so ago and as I walked up to the 16th tee I see an older guy combing through the bushes. This is a shared Disc/Ball Golf Course so I figure he lost a ball. Nope, he lost 2 clubs. They slipped out of his grip from the blue tee and ended up in the shrubbery in a little gully to the left of the fairway. I still don't get it either.
