Well, it's certainly the most available disc in the used bins. So that does makes it the best disc in history to take up bin space, or the best disc to collect dust.

From what I remember the "improved" Turboputt has existed for a few years, at least minus the rubber gripper on the bottom.

Maybe they are just trying to gauge interest. The commentary on the kickstarter page is very interesting. They have always been innovative but struggled with execution.
