I bought RIT, but apparently it isn't working anymore, so what kind of dyes (brand) should I use and where can I get it?

Saw that it needed to be heated to make it work quickly and effective, Im wondering how to make a "diluted swirls" of one color, like innova makes directly from the factory on star discs (am gonna dye on an older white star) I don't want it to be super colored, just very very faded and swirly, how do I do that.. add a lot of water or?

Thanks

@ myroom - $2.79 for ONE oz. of dye from link above or buy 1 packet of iDye Poly (around $2.99) mix with water and yields 32 oz.

Use idye poly or buy professional RIT (bulk ordering only, not in stores). To get a faded looking dye either dilute the dye or paint it on, wipe, check, repeat. You could also use the shaving cream method. Read the stickies for more detailed info.
