If you had 3 full days in Austin, what is your itinerary? Where would you play, where (approx) would you stay? Read below for background/parameters.

With Selah gone, our annual guy trip is returning to Austin. This trip started over 25 years ago as "play all the courses in Austin.....sometimes up to 4 or 5 different courses in a day" then morphed into "San Saba only" then morphed into "almost exclusively Circle R Wimberley" then morphed into "Selah only".

Parameters:
- 5 or 6 guys aged 50-55, plus one son that's about 30-35......normally playing as one group.
- Beer-drinking is a must, either legally or on the down-low....so avoid courses where it's absolutely out of the question.
- We will be renting a VRBO or AirBnB but are flexible WHERE, so proximity is a consideration for your 3-day itinerary, as we don't want to spend hours travelling.
- Fun is preferred over challenge. We're all reasonably okay....920ish to 980ish....yet we played the shorter tees at Selah because it's just more fun. But we would always play 3 or 3.5 rounds per day out there! (At Wimberley (and Moody's) we always played the longest tees, but we were younger then??!)
- Privacy is preferred over crowds. Obviously we've been spoiled by private and/or low-use courses for a long time.
- Days of the week is negotiable. Traditionally it's arrive Wed, play Thu/Fri/Sat, depart first thing Sun. But we can shift that as needed.
- Multiple courses per day is fine, as long as we're not travelling forever. Starting mid-morning and playing until near sunset is fine.

And on those things, "preferred" means preferred. It doesn't mean that challenge or crowds are out of the question.

My brother has already suggested an "Austin North" year.....WilCo, some winery course, etc. Not even hitting things like Roy or Moody's. It's been YEARS since we've been there, so looking for local knowledge to lay out our perfect 3 days.

(Oh, and "hi!" anybody that I used to know here on dgcr, hahahaha.)

Another option might be to play some of the South Austin courses. Circle C and Searight could both be played on one day, with time left over for a stop at Disc Nation. Roy G, Met Center, and Zilker could be combined on another day. For day 3 you could travel a bit south to San Marcos and spend an entire day playing the two courses at the Flying Armadillo. The big course has red, white and blue tees to accommodate different skill levels and the par 2 putt-putt course is just plain fun. I believe there are a couple of air bnb's within walking distance to the Armadillo as well.
