don't know a lot about fabrics but is " 600D Poly and 400D Dobby Nylon Oxford fabric" good? I hear everyone talking about ballistic material in bags

That is correct. They are supposed to all be available in time for this years GBO. The bag is awesome and sits comfortably on your back. Im actually holding out to buy one of these instead of a grip.

It's cool the price point is exactly what I was told it would be. Still not sorry I got the Grip and stopped waiting on it though. I might get one of the commanders and straps eventually.

I'm not sure I like the overall design aesthetic on the ranger. Actually kinda like the look of the Commander and Sniper though. Wouldn't mind seeing them in some more interesting colors, though.

I believe ogio does these in like six color combos but maybe I'm wrong on that. I imagine if the preorders and feedback is good you may see them in a lot more colors by the end of the year. I feel the same way on the looks. The ranger is hideous to me. The commander looks great though. The sniper I have no use for. I already own a NutSac.

I'm interested

but I need more pics of views from different angles and the top compartment

Yeah, the ranger is too boxy for my tastes. Its much the same reason I don't like the Simian (that and I think the PVC frame looks cheap).

The fabric they are using is pure crap even if they are offering a limited life time warranty.

600D fades in sun light and 400D becomes brittle with direct sunlight and water exposure. I work in the textile industry and no outdoor pack worth it's weight is made in anything less than 1000D.

Severely Dissapointed in the thought behind it, I guess that's what you get with Chinese made Ogio products. At close to $180 I would stay away.

that looks pretty sweet, but never know how it will be till someone gets one. Doubt it will surpass the grip as the number one bag though, and I'm more than happy sticking with that. Good luck DD

I saw the ranger bag at Crowley when they were having a tourney. They called it a prototype they were working on. Seemed really nice

The commander does look pretty sweet. If I were to spend a good amount of money on a back pack bag I wouldn't think twice and just get a Grip. I can see the Commander doing well though on the market.
