[Putters] Reptilian Disc Golf's First Mold: The Scale (OS P&A)

Haha, I don't know dude, the Pa4 change my game significantly. The Scale can't do what the Pa4 does.
They are totally different discs.

And the Pa3 is a great straight point and shoot putter that feels great. The M4 is butter for a midrange, the F5 is accuracy control and good distance (a disc that I think everyone should try)
So don't hate.

Or Else I'll have to call the Jelly School.

Are you sure...you're not just a little bit Jel?

Start working in a Serp and tell me if you have a PA4 bagged in a month ;)

I was a Proto PA4 believer. Hit an ace with mine within the first week. Then all production run PA4s I threw flew much differently. I loved th SLIGHT turn and reliable LSS. The productions were much more squirrelly and sometimes would finish flat. The Serp is a near close of my 400s Proto Pa4 in flight and it's such a beautiful thing.

Just ordered me a scale can't wait to try this disc out..been following the thread and yeah this sounds just like the throwing putter I've been wanting to try

Dangit. This is what I was afraid of eventually seeing. I loved PA4s for that exact easy hyzer flip to late fade that was basically a laser straight line. Man they held annies well when in that stage too. I stopped throwing PA4s because I like baseline plastic for Stable to US putters, and 300s is pretty crap as far as reliable durability or predictable wearing goes. A Fossil Scale is probably what I need. Sigh.

After I get done with all the physical therapy I'm starting tomorrow I have a ton of rebuilding to do, and some new discs to try... Haha.

I haven't thrown my pa1 or pa4 even since I bagged my scale/ wizards again . And now with a armor scale on the way think my prodigy putters will just be sidelined .

Just ordered two scales in fossil. I've been buying many different molds of os putters, my home course is a pitch and putt so its must have disc. I was using the harp for awhile but didn't like how they broke in. Same with the Sinus. I feel like I haven't given the Rhyno too much of a chance but its been good for me when I have used. The prodigy PA2 however as been my money disc. Love it in tunnel shots with a strong headwind. So the scale is going to be competing with my PA2. Ill let you guys know if it will replace it in the bag!

The Scale is that perfect amount of stability with control, glide (hover haha) and then drop. Its really the perfect upshot disc. (when a straight to hyzer is needed)

So dont bash the Prodigy guy, just give him a Scale:hfive:

No bashing here (my first ace was with an F5) just making the point that the Prodigy "overstable" putter isn't actually all that overstable.

Got my scales in yesterday- too rainy to go out and throw them, but putted for a while- they feel great in the hand, the thumbtrac isnt too deep, just enough. The plastic feels awesome out of the box, the Tarpit is grippy but still firm. The fossil is a tad slick for putting for me, but feels awesome for throwing- cant wait to get some better weather so I can see what it can do. Seems like its gonna break in nicely. For putting, I use a kind of spin/push style, and it flies dead straight for me. Looking forward to a restock :)

I'd probably give a Serpent a try at some point. But I picked up a ton of Pa4's when they came out, I have a handful of proto 400, a SE pa4 (which is amazing for grip and being US) and I even have a 750 Pa4 thats beautiful so....I like the Scale. And im always open to check out new putters . But I am very happy with the Prodigy putters,

Just needed a true putter thats OS and a good approacher, and the Scale is it for me.

The only Prodigy disc I still bag is a proto 400s PA4 for those long, high annie lines. It's such a great disc for that, but I have a production 400S PA4 that just keeps turning (whereas the proto will turn and then hold the line). Darn it though if you didn't just convince me to try a Serpent. (I love the Scale and already have 4 of them btw.)

Moral of this thread. the Scale is sweet. and I have 3 already...ha, likely gonna stick with those as they are extremely durable....Im gonna go out and say, most durable putter (plastic) I've ever used.

I have one that I'm already designating as my 'practice scale' and I've thrown in my basement a lot at a basket. I have stuff up to catch but occasionally i'm way off and its hitting the ground, or the walls, or some random pole, or dinking all kinds of stuff....and the thing is like bone...(fossil was a good name)

I have a Dom stamp that feels like its made out of Adamantium

Just a quick demo with some footage I filmed a while back. I'll probably film a full 18 with it soon. I think it fits its role really well, as far as being an OS wizard compliment. I'll film some throws side by side with some Wizards next vid. Maybe next to an Envy too.

^ This is easily one of the coolest things I've experienced in my DG career ^

MikeC is mashing on OUR mold! (insert fangirl giggling here)

Just got my armor scale.. My oh my !!!

This thing is a beauty! Can't wait to throw it this weekend

While I prefer the Fossil blend for grip and stiffness, I'm able to throw the Armor Scale a little better. I can really squeeze in on the flight plate and it just responds to my throws better. Sometimes the intangibles are underspoken, and the Armor version of the Scale has many of those intangibles.

I also really like the Armor Scale for forehands. I can actually put some power into it. I have a super torqued out (i.e. "super crappy") forehand when I try to get distance, so for it to work I need a nice OS disc. Armor Scale is the first putter I can forehand for distances over 100 feet...and still be accurate!

Full disclosure though: I've chained out a few times with my Armor Scale on ace runs and I have to wonder if they would have stuck if it was Fossil or Tar Pit...
