[Discraft] Crafting Low Scores - Everything Discraft!

I agree, being anal about clean discs is only hurting yourself. I'm only crazy about it when I first acquire them because I don't know what the previous owner/manufacturer had been touching. It's easy to forget what you've washed off and what you haven't. Makes my initial impressions unique to myself and doesn't upset my (reasonable) allergies in the slightest.

I only do that to Impacts when I am no longer able to grip the disc well as I have too much dirt in the cross hatches or my old stiff Pro D Magnet is getting slicker then I want, the disc will be very slick still just not super mega slick anymore.

Mcbeth throwing the buzzz on hole 14 at the tdtm. Fantastic way to show off why that disc is perfectly balanced and legendary.
Its nice to see one being thrown on lead cards. Nate was great but spotty with his tourney play the last few years.
Cant wait to see more footage

That is showcasing how neutral the mold is. I use a Shark 3 in almost the same way. If Innova stopped making the Shark 3 then a Buzz is what I would get a nice Z and ESP Buzz for different conditions. I like that shape of midrange without a bead, the Wasp/ROC shape but no bead.

McBeth throwing the Buzzz throughout TDTM round 1 was impressive. The Buzzz and McBeth combination looks like it's going strong and has quite a future.

I threw 2 170-172 kongs against my hurricanes and my 170 z force today.

One kong was domey, one was flat. They were both much more similar to a force than a hurricane. Maybe a slightly seasoned force when new would be a better comparison. In my opinion, the kong has more high speed and low speed stability compared to a hurricane. Basically spot on from the stability rating of 1.9 and about exactly what I expected.

To echo riltims post, I always wash new (to me) discs. Whether it's 10/10 or 5/10 I need to wash it and go from there. Hot water soak yes, always soap too though...I feel like it gives me a good constant in the variability of plastic feel equation. Easier for me to make comparisons when many factors are all on the same page a la oils/dirt etc. Yes I also give my bag [discs] a good bath after every few dirty rounds/one real wet and muddy one. Yes I always use the same soap FWIW

what kind of soap do you use

Managed to get a hold of two unused, max weight Z Crush's last year. Bought them from the PDGA store of all places. Just put one of them in my bag today & had a blast throwing it. It's such a great mold for os FH shots that I can throw on hard anyhyzers & it always fights out for distance. Still upset DC put it oop. Maybe the best os speed 11 ever molded. Incredible compliment to my Wraith. I've only got the two but maybe I can still find some heavy unused Crushes out there.

Just bought my first Tracker... I found a 174g orange Z stock stamp.
I was shocked how overstable it is... are all trackers this OS? I was hoping for 8/5/-1/3 that I have heard other people mention. FWIW, I throw my Star Eagle Xs averaging 400' ish... it's not like the Tracker is too much disc for my form/arm speed

I am hopefully getting 2 DGA Proline Titanic's 175 gram for a hot hot day reaplacement for my Jawbreaker Magnets. One will go into bag if I like it for that option of replacing the Magnet for hot days Jawbreaker plastic gets too sticky. My old pre 2006 Stiff Pro D will then come out if I like the Proline Titanic, as the old Stiff Pro D Mangent has just due to getting worn smooth gotten too slick to use even thought I have washed it with Dawn to remove the grease and dirt on the disc.

I'm pretty sure that's why the tracker never caught on in the first place. Close to a predator and no real advantage of glide. I haven't thrown them in years but remember putting them more like 8/3/0/3.5. Slower and just a tick less stable than a predator. Even the FR 'takers have a lot more glide while still being pretty overstable.

Just stick with the Eagle, especially if you are averaging 400! I've compared and contrasted (except Prodigy F2) different FW drivers that are suppose to similar to the Eagle and nothing has supplanted it. Closest one that I've thrown has been the Banzai.

As far as Discraft is concern, which retailer carries some nice swirly Heats?

Yup, that's about what I would rate it too.

I always rated the Tracker 0HSS, 3LSS. I could never get mine to flip up, or get any bit of turn before fading. Mostly put on flat or slight anny flex releases, which is how I use my Glo Z Undertakers. I liked them for that.

So I'm pretty well set on my Trespass / Force combo. Been running it for years now, but my curiosity obviously got the better of me and I ordered 3 Kongs.

They arrived today and I got a legit spectrum: flat, normal dome, and pop top. identical part line height across the board. Wings all seem the same (no destroyer-like variations). Pop top is the stiffest, then the flatty. The normal domed Kong has a nice and gummy flight plate but a firm wing and feels phenomenal.

Should be interesting to see how they fly. Looking forward to see how they stack up to my spectrum of trespasses.

I've got a max weight Z tracker aswell and it's quite beefy compared to the vulture. Basically an undertaker OS. One of the few discs I can BH and FH with equal ease.

Vultures definitely have more glide and distance however.

Came home to two Z Raptors sitting on my porch. Took them to the course to compare to the Predators I bag; the verdict so far is meh. Maybe I was hoping for something magical but I can backhand are forehand my Preds with much more consistency than the Raptors. Maybe I just need to spend the time to get to know the disc better but as of now I'm a little doubtful that it's worth the effort.
