I never did understand that stamp.

perhaps, it's low profile cutting through the wind, on its way to bangin' chains, or at least inside the circle. ;)

I was thinking 'breaking through the sound barrier', but in any case IMHO it is meant to connote speed and breaking through all obstacles to go into the chains.

Innova doesn't really lurk around here. If you want something done with them (as I learned with Champ Polecats from examples set by many before me), the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Email them every day and get others to do the same. With the serious amounts of love that new DX is getting, a run of XDs would probably come out just right.

I like all you said but in my mind a good DX xd has that amazing leathery tack to it that NO other plastic can match.

Tbh if I sent Innova a email about it I'd ask for the floppy r-pro xd to make a comeback ;)

They came out with champ glow ones about 6yrs ago. I don't think they sold well. Buddy said they flew way diff than base plastic. Wasn't the same glidey disc but I feel Innova had made so many new discs that they prolly covered that slot. Also hero disc had some a while back that were a floppy champ plastic that u could easily bend in half. Made in low weights. Fun catch disc

Beat a DX CR or proto Colt enough and you'll have the near equivalent of fresh XD flight. I couldn't imagine not having that disc in the bag. The added distance on jump and straddle putts without a need to change up form/technique alone, would make it bag worthy but I must admit that it tickles me to drive with it, especially when you have some head room. Half beat, the XD hyzer flip to flat with late turn tends to make other players scratch their heads. It's like a head wind gust his it after 100' of rope line straight. Simply awesome!

I think the problem is that for whatever reason, Innova has really leaned into their whole "+ rimmed, V-Tech, 3-topped" trend at the expense of less sexy molds like the XD. Makes me think they should take some specific molds like the rancho roc, the classic aviar and/or PnA, the XD, and the leo/teeb and come out with a run of retro stamped "classic flight" discs or something. Just to really solidify those molds as perennial favorites that aren't going anywhere.

I like that idea from the marketing sense. But if Innova still has a working physical mold for the XD, is it anywhere near a priority for them? That's the question. Let them know y'all want the XD again, and maybe they'll do something for you...

Thats a pretty awesome idea. The Classic grid Aviar hasn't gone anywhere though and the recent runs are pretty good. I wish I liked deep putters because I like the stamp and the feel of the plastic. The XD mold is around and being used randomly, I just got a stack of tournament stamp champ XDs. They fly pretty good. I wish I could buy stacks of DX Classic Rocs and XDs though. Colts and Studs just dont cut it for me. The P3 has been my closest replacement and they are barely making those.

I know what you mean, I would have looked at a XD a few years ago except it was the limited XD+ in my local Store and that disc is more like a Colt in feel. I was thinking about having a standard XD or two in my bag as having one my Driving putter the other my Approach disc both in Star. I could only find the Champion XD+ at the Local store then the DX XD+ only at Walmart back in 2016. This was before the DX XD+ was stopped in production.

I found a set up that worked for me at the time in 2016, even better with less confusion. Now made better with the Shark 3.
