[Question] ID a disc or ask "What is the story on this disc...?"

I am no expert, but most FRs were opaque red or a translucent "blueberry" I believe. They are also maked VK outside the circle on the back of the flightplate. 1-3 were more taffylike opaque runs. The transparent "candy" runs like yours were the later runs (4th and 5th). Again, take that explanation with a grain of salt...

alright. good enough for me. and im asuming 1st runs are worth more than later runs? how much is mine worth? its 10/10 with my name and number on the inner rim

On the bottom it says :
INNOVA CHAMPION DISCS. INC. RANCHO CUCAMONGA CAL USA 91730

PATENT NO 4.568.297

This is a straight lid with a thumbtrack. It is a premie weight at around 130 I believe and has the USDGC stamp on the front. I am guessing it is a Birdie, but I am not familiar with alot of old thumbtrack molds such as the Wolf, Puma or Piranha. Any help as to the mold or the year it was released would be appreciated.

what year does it say on it...?

the wolf is a large diameter...the other 3 are small...the puma has a more pointed rim then the birdie and piranha....from the pic it looks like birdie or piranha

birdie with thumbtrac...1998...21.2
piranha...1993...21.2
puma...1999...21.2
wolf...1999...21.8
rhyno...1999...21.2

Update from my last post. Is this a banshee or gazelle. I conpared it to one of my gazelles and looked a little different.

i would guess banshee....its hard to tell from your pic....the banshee is more of a squared off edge and the gazelle is more rounded....the rim is longer in the banshee also...

Thats not a banshee... I don't throw gazelles so I can't say on that but the banshee doesn't have that flattened area near outer edge of the rim.

So has any body ever heard about or seen one of these before?
What's the story behind a Mattel disc?

I cant get the angle right for the profile pictures to compare my mystery disc to both a gazelle and cheetah. Can anyone based on the pictures I took make an educated guess as to what disc I have?

check the tooling on the bottom

whats the difference? not much of an Innova guy, saw this 11x tb at PIAS for cheap and picked it up.. mainly for PiF trading stock, just want to know how to tell the difference

It is hard plastic. Definately not a polecat from the profile pics that Moose posted.

INNOVA - CHAMPION DISCS, INC. ONTARIO, CA. 91761 on one side of the back MADE IN U.S.A on the other.
