    DGCR ACES 2012!!!

8/24/2012 - Hole #2 - Winnebago County Park - Oshkosh, WI A little 231' hole with the basket tucked in behind a pine tree. The pin is located in the middle of a 25-30' lane between the pines for the green. It is my 4th ace in 3 different decades and 1st on my home course. 1st throw of the day...

[Discraft] 2012 Discraft Ace Race Disc

In Oshkosh or Green Bay? I played Oshkosh and I have a slightly different assessment. When I threw it under normal power I could work the disc like my TL. The only way it would stay on a anny route was with a powerful toss, but it would hold it. Threw it powered down and it came out super quick...

[Innova] Does Blizzard Plastic Break Down Faster?

I threw my 137g Bliz Boss into a small pine tree 15' from the tee pad and put a pin head size cut into the rim, but the young tree had a disc wide gouge in it. I also threw it on a hard anhyzer into a chain link fence rode the fence then skipped off and still held the anhyzer before fading out...

What is this disc worth? (Part III)

Wondering what these might be worth in the not brand new condition they are. All have been thrown. The 1.9 is in the best condition, but most ink. All have a triangle for ink so not a whole lot on them and the 1.4 is good plastic, but the stamp is gone obviously. The 1.17 has been thrown the...

    [Innova] Blizzard Technology

I throw my 175g Star Boss 280-310' and my 137g Bliz Boss 380-410'. 280' & 380' normal throw and 310-410' longest throws. Blizzard adds pretty dang close to 100' to my throws. It varies greatly.

    [Innova] Blizzard Technology

I got a 137g Blizzard Boss (Bubbles in the dome Pre-Wiggins stamp) and it's the god of discs for me. I can spike hyzer it for 300-320, hyzer flip it for 350-370' and anhyzer it for 380-400'. I just love this thing. It's easy to get it anyway I want and holds that line until it's high fade comes...

    North east Wisconsin early birds

I like to go early in the mornings. I like to get out once on the weekend to a out of town course. It's usually Saturdays though or a day when I am off of work.

    Sacrafice's Bag

I was going to buy either a Comet or Super Stingray yesterday, but didn't have enough to purchase one this week, but before league someone let me throw a 176 new Z Buzzz and I loved it from the 1st throw. It was on a 290 hole that I throw my TL on and parked it 1st throw with very little effort...

The Super Stingray is more stable? I didn't realize that. Interesting. Is the Super Stingray still considered a decent/good roller disc like it's counterpart? Yes I am a great canidate for mids only rounds. I want to get some of the options mentioned here before I go all out on that though. Our...

    Sacrafice's Bag

I got an Eagle-X. I do like Stingrays and got my 1st ace with one, but I never have used them for distance. I used them for right hand hyzer line type holes as I am left handed. That's what I use my Mamba for now. I was carrying both for a while, but I never used the Stingray so I gave it away...

    Sacrafice's Bag

Thanks. I was looking on the site at these discs and seen the Wasp also. It does look like a good combination. Do these discs have the same wide putter like rims or are they a little more slimmer towards a driver? If they are a bit slimmer than say the Roc I would be in heaven I think. Update...

    New putter

I was always of the understanding that the only good use out of a soft putter was if you hit metal it would just fall down instead of bouncing off in another direction. Mainly like hitting the front of the basket and not rolling away.

The lighter TL sounds promising. Thinking about it I probably could get more out of one than the one I got. Haven't thrown a Buzzz. Will have to try one for sure. Completely agree on starting from scratch with my mids. Looks like I am going to have to look into both of these suggestions.

[Innova] For the love of the Bird! ..Teebird that is!

I have been playing for a long time, but I always was a poor man's DG player only ever throwing DX Stingrays, Rams, Vipers, Eagles and a putter until this year when I finally decided to get into all this fan-dangled new plastic. I got what I thought was a Teebrid, but was labeled as a Champ...
