I don't think I'm visualizing what you're describing very well. But basically the edge of the sidewalk essentially defines an infinite plane extending vertically that if any part of the disc penetrates the plane then it is still inbounds, even if it has come to rest above the ground (excluding...
Man there are all sorts of past Tulsans in this thread! I thought it was a great place for Disc Golf. I don't know if you've played the new course at Chandler (I think it only went in around 2010), but it was probably my favorite course to play around town.
Come to Oklahoma and play - "where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain" is no joke. 23 mph is about the same as the breeze from a mosquito fart compared to some of the times I've played in Tulsa.
Not sure it qualifies as "creepy" as much as it does just "dangerous", but you always have a decent chance of getting shanked if you go play Gateway Park in Fort Worth!
Awesome! I can't wait to try them out!
I'll be living on the Missouri side. I'm going to KCUMB, which is just east of downtown. The neighborhood its in seems pretty seedy, so I'm thinking about trying to find a rental closer to downtown... I've seen a few names thrown around like Westport, or...
So I found out today that I'm going to be moving to KC for med school starting this summer. Can any locals tell me about the quality of my course options? I've heard some about Waterworks, what other good courses are around KC? Any local favorites?
Me too... I guess we're proven wrong.
Vibram has been around for awhile y'all. They specialize in shoe soles. Everything from hiking boots, work boots, ski boots, rock climbing shoes, water shoes, pretty much any shoe you can think of.
Just look for the little yellow rectangle thingy on the...
I use my 12x firebird regularly for the same approach. The firechicken is usually a little longer of a disc for me, it doesn't come back quite as hard and as fast as my Max does (my GLO Max is unusually beefy, even for a Max), so it works better for me out to 275'-300'. Although I find that I...
I do the same thing. Especially with forehands. I just find that I can throw a much more predictable line with faster more OS discs. I used to carry a Nuke OS for this purpose too... I switched it out for a really beefy GLO Champion Max about a year ago. It is easily the most predictable and...
