It's funny you say that because whenI screw up an approach or short drive I'll pull out my Comet as a practice throw and it seems like I park it every damn time and wonder why I didn't just throw the comet in the first place
Hey guys!
Love my Z comets but I hate the hand feel of Z.
How do the domey Big Z comets fly vs regular Z? Are they just as stable out of the box or are they more prone to flip? I love the laser straight glideyness of the Z's but was hoping to find a better hand feel.
Also - how does the Göte fly and beat in vs comets? I know they start out a touch more stable but was wondering if they worked in to be a comet in K1.
Thanks so much!
There's domey big Z comets? All mine have been flat, really flat, uncomfortably low shoulder and flat. Also weirdly slippery but they're a few years older big Z meatballs.
Gotes suck. Nothing is a comet except a comet.
What about a domey esp? I heard the '22 MJ's were pretty nice....

How do these Z line sparkle Ledgestone 2019 Special Editions compare to other Comets? Apparently only 350 of them were made and one is coming my way.
I have two, hot pink and bright green. They're the most overstable Comets (relatively speaking, still not a Wasp or something) I've thrown. Both have decent domes and flight wise I can't tell them apart. For a while I was pairing one with a flat ESP, but honestly they're the least Comet-like Comet I've thrown to date and they're currently sitting on the shelf.
I've maximalized my bag a lot recently so I only carry an 18' ESP; I used to do the 37 Rocs thing but currently my mids are Drone, testing Pyro, Buzzz, Comet, Cobra. Aside from the Pyro I've thrown those molds so many times I know their strengths and weaknesses along side one another. I admitted after all these years similar discs can coexist in a bag as long as you know them well.
The SparkleZ is a good overstable bookend for Comets if you don't like pairing them with a Wasp etc. but honestly they're just kinda meh. I'd trade both for an exact copy of my only 18' ESP in a heartbeat.
YMMV

Grip covered it; it's more OS with less glide, so it has none of the Comet magic.Alright, thanks! Might try it out but even if its not useful its kinda rare so still nice to have I guess. Got a Drone coming in the same package. Never thrown one. Been using Rocs as my more overstable mids for now and Zones for beef. Will see if there is a reason to carry both : Drone/Zone.
Roc3's even in MF aren't super trustworthy so been just using fresh KC Rocs until they become too straight. Been thinking about trying a Wasp though.
Is that Cobra a flippy compliment to the comets? Broken in DX or something?

"Too straight Roc" ... that's a funny Roc. Can't say I've seen a Roc that's too straight
