Pros:

-Superb Tee Signage
-Good mix of open/wooded, long/short
-Water in play on #1, #5 (sort of), behind #7, #9
-Underbrush not punishing, good open lines
-Several benches
-Scenery of the park is lovely
-Quiet park, way out, other use is mostly fishing the pond

Cons:

-Easy to miss park
-See #9 right away, but have to go through trees to find #1 tee
-Gravel tee boxes
-No trashcans, cart out what you bring in
-Limited facilities (pit toilets)
-Needs some upkeep. trimming around baskets and benches
-#4 Tee sign on ground, #9 tee sign missing

Other Thoughts:

Cedar County Park DGC is located in its namesake park SE of Creston, IA. I almost missed the park and wasn't sure what I got into as I pulled in. You can see what is the #9 basket at the end of the road along with a shelter. Thankfully, the directions said something about #1 tee being through the trees north of the shelter. There is a path that leads through the trees and the #1 tee pops up on the left with a throw across the pond. #2 and #3 are open, #4 is narrow to the dam. #5 is open along the top of the dam with the B location up on a stump. #6, #7 and #8 are tunnels through the trees with #9 shooting over a footbridge to finish up. I really liked the signage here, especially the 50, 100, 150, 200, etc. rings shown for distance. The whole park is cart in / cart out, so make sure you take your trash. I've added a map to help navigate. Not a fan of the gravel tees, but they were OK, getting a little overgrown. Trimming needs to happen on some of the baskets and benches. The upkeep kept the rating down a little for me. The scenery (among the cedars on 6-9 and a lovely pond) the variation and the signage added to the rating. I enjoyed my round and would play again, if in the area.
