Short, Flat, Dicey 2+ years

Pros:

Baskets are in pristine shape, tee signs are sparse on info but visible and well-executed. I think the building near #3's tee is a restroom.

#4 is a challenging hole with an S-line and #8's best line is a pretty tight and controlled shot. Not much in the length department on this course, but you can let it rip on #9 if that's your game. The whole course is flat as a board. I doubt there are 6 inches of elevation change across it.

Cons:

The course doesn't flow particularly well. The holes kind of double back on themselves from #4 through #8. Having the hole maps on Udisc helped make sure I was throwing on the right pin, especially on #2 (where #9's basket is visible and in a logical place), #5 (where #3's basket is in a logical place), and #6 (where you have to throw past #7's basket). This means golfers are in the fairway of one hole while playing adjacent holes. It's a little unsafe, to be honest. Even finishing on #9 has the potential to be pretty close to #1 & 8's tee.

The course ends up winding over and through the park road, pavilions, and along ballfields and private property, and the whole course is very cramped and potentially unsafe. #2 plays along the outfield fence of an adjacent baseball field and private property. #3 around a restroom building and over the road. #4 parallels the road and private property on either side. #5 is over the road. #6 is probably the worst as you're playing along/over the road and past multiple pavilions and #7's basket and fairway.

While there are mature trees on the majority of the holes, they don't really inform the lines much. #'s 1, 5, 6, and 9 are essentially open field throws. #2 is pretty close. Most of the 'line-shaping' that is available is due to wanting to avoid the road, pavilions, structures, fence lines, and private property.

The packed aggregate tee pads are ok for the most part, but a couple were somewhat loose.

Other Thoughts:

The day I played this course was after a recent ice storm that had decimated lots of the trees that hadn't shed their foliage yet. Tree branches and large limbs were down throughout the park. A few of the holes were impacted by this debris, but the course was still playable. I'm not sure what the course will play like once the debris is removed as some of the lines might be different.

It's a pretty 'meh' course overall. There are a couple of holes that are better than the rest, namely #4 and #8. But the overall character of the course is that it's crammed into a park without enough room to let it breathe. If there are more than about two cars parked in this park, you're probably throwing near one on a hole. There are better 9-hole options close to the metro, in my opinion. Still, when the park is empty, it's a playable course, just not very challenging or unique.
