Don't bother 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 17, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Has Potential
Basket for hole 1 and 9 is a lightweight practice basket

Cons:

Basket for 2 and 8 is lopsided
Basket for 3 and 7 is home made and not a bad job
Basket for 4, 5, and 6 is all but destroyed thanks to flooding
Grass does not get mowed on this side so it was waist high around hole 1/9
I only found markings for 3 or 4 of the holes tee boxes.
Even the UDisc map was wrong on hole 7, found it by chance.

Other Thoughts:

I have only tried to play one course in worse shape than this one.

These 9 holes using 4 baskets are in part of the park that is not maintained by the city, or by the person who built it.

Hole one has you throwing from the park side of the bayou over to the other side. You then have to either cross the railroad bridge or wade thought the 2ft deep creek to get to the basket.
I can not understate how high the grass was on the other side. It took me 15 min to find my disc in grass waist deep 15 ft from the basket.
For hole 2, you walk down the bayou to tee off for hole 2, I did manage to find a blue stake, but don't know which hole it was for, it was laying down. Hole 2's basket is lopsided. Bicycle wheel holds the chains.
From there you go into the woods. Hole 3 has an overgrown fairway, but the tee is marked and you can throw the hole.

Now comes the fun park, I spent a good 30 min looking for #4, my GPS was WAY off for some reason trying to use the UDisc app. I finally found the basket and managed to find a knocked down blue stick behind a wash. Nice hole down the creek with very stagnate water to the right of the basket.
Oh, that is if you could call this a basket, the flood waters has destroyed this basket used for holes 4, 5, and 6.

I tried for another 20 min to find the tee markers for hole 5, I finally gave up and threw a nice shot down along the creek bed.

Hole 6 throws from on top of the hill in the woods, it is marked with blue stakes, but I don't know what the fairway is suppose to be, it is totally overgrown. I threw a grenade over it and parked the hole. It is short.

UDisc has the tee for 7 on the fairway for 6, however when trying to get over to hole 7's basket (same basket as hole3) I came across the stakes way away from the UDisc map. Overgrown again, but I hit a small hole and parked it.

Hole 8, is suppose to follw the path from 3's tee to 2's basket. The path has a very low ceiling and is almost unplayable. I could not find any tee markers so I threw from the #3 tee area. Only a 150 ft hole, but I still took a 4 and my only bogie.

Hole 9 I think tee's from the same spot as hole 2, longer hole with all very high grass. It took some time to find my first show and a while to find my upshot.

did I mention that every time you stop, the mosquitoes swarm you? I have never seen them this thick anywhere.

Oh, and don't try to use a cart. Between the high grass and the hills in the woods, I just carried my mid range and putter in the woods.

Would I play here again?

Hell no, not unless the grass is mowed and the fairways are cleared in the woods. Even then, the holes in the woods are pitch and putt and while interesting, not really worth the trouble of getting over to the course.

I wasted over an hour trying to play this course.
