Pros:
I could almost just paste Dreadlock's Pros on to my review. The Short 9 has the same great wooden tee pads, same DGA baskets, same simple numbered tee signs as it's big brother course. It's just a great little Pitch & Putt with a couple fun Ace runs added in.
There are a couple of more open holes and # 5 is more like a legitimate hole at probably 285' with a little anhyser needed at the end.
Cons:
As previously noted, there are no flaws with this course once you accept it's purpose in life. It's to let you warm up before your round or cool down afterward. Or have a little Ace challenge contest with your buddies. Or bring out your wife or girlfriend or both! Or your 7 year old. Or your friend who's never played before. Let him cut his teeth on this 9 hole beauty.
Other Thoughts:
If these short beginner type courses are done well, I'm always very complimentary because I really believe they serve an important function in the development of disc golf as a recognized and popular pastime. Giving new players a chance to play on a course where they can achieve a measure of success and not have them spending an inordinate amount of time looking for errant throws in nasty rough helps tremendously in getting these newbies back on the course a second time.
