Pros:
better course than any in sioux city. its about a 20 minute drive from s.c., but worth it.
-a few ace runs
-lots of trees to navigate
-never busy
-bogies are out there, but so are birdies
-can attack most holes from different angles, so fair to right and left handers.
-nice signs, decent tee pads.
-always manicured, nice park setting
Cons:
-no elevation change at all
-if it rains, puddles up a lot, and you dont always see the puddles
-not necessarily bad, but trees are low hanging forcing many low throws
-not necessarily bad, but wind can make it no fun
-city park setting, picnic area, childrens playground, walking paths and camping definitely come into play, though it is not very busy very often.
-3 holes are very difficult to find your first few times playing.
-they built a new playground within 10 feet of the 17th basket. absolutely horrible idea. a little kid is going to take a tee shot to the forehead. it is inevitible.
-there is a problem with parents parking their cars on tee pads and on the course in the evenings during baseball games. ruins about 2-4 holes.
Other Thoughts:
the challenge of breaking par on this course makes it really fun. it is possible to go low here, but as soon as you get cocky, it jumps out and gets you.
would be fun to let actual players come in and put in alternate pads and pin placements on a few holes. this pretty ok course could be A LOT better.
fun course, but the lack of understanding that this is a disc golf course, not a parking lot can ruin some evenings.
