Pros:
Very open; and it's all pretty much int he same general area. You don't need to hike all over the place. It plays pretty quick.
Pretty nice hand crafted signs. Unique WV craftsmanship.
Lots of parking, lol. It's on the fairgrounds, so there's tons of parking space, but you need to drive in to the other side of the parking section to find the first tee.
Cons:
Grass wasn't high grass, but about 6 inches or more. Can get annoying to walk through, but I'm sure its cut throughout the year. (so i'm not complaining)
Course map is a painting, so it's confusing to figure it out. Once you get the hang of the first few holes, you'll be able to read the signs. Use the Hole info on the DGCR App to know which tee tho throw from.
Signs can be a little better defined; while i like the uniqueness, it presents a little issue to read them. (words are etched in wood). You can't read the tee sign from a distance.
Other Thoughts:
It's a super fun course through. I really enjoyed the play. Short tees (tornado course) plays really fast. Long tees definitely add more distance and difficulty. The difference between the shorts and longs here is a lot more than other courses I've played, so bravo to the people who laid this out. I look forward to playing the long tees next time.
