Pros:
The nine basket course seems promising with some creative shots. If Boston supports a permanent instillation at this park, it could be a fun course. Franklin Park is gorgeous to walk through.
Cons:
Because the course is temporary, no permanent signs exist to direct players to beginning of play and information about each drive. The disjointed course becomes frustrating when trying to find the next basket. The course is laid out over a large plot of land separated by a pedestrian path. Lengthy walks are necessary to continue play especially between six and seven.
Other Thoughts:
Until the course is improved upon players may want to take a pass on this one. Finding all the baskets will be time consuming. It may be necessary to play with someone who knows where all the baskets are but the long walks between certain baskets undermine any joy of playing. Also, numerous hobos have taken up residence at the park and can be a bit of concern if playing alone. Lastly, drive 7 has what appears to be poison ivy near the tee.
