Pros:

Decent cement tee boxes on almost every hole
Most of the Tee signs are there
decent use what the park has to offer
Restrooms next to hole 6/7
pavilion
plenty of parking

Cons:

Missing tee box due to construction of highway 66 bridge (hole 13)
Some tee signs missing
Home made baskets that have seen better days
Not a whole lot to work with in this park
Park has a tendency to flood as others have posted.

Other Thoughts:

This is an older course that has seen better days. I bet when it was first put in the ground, it was one of the better course around.

Times have changed and this course has seen better days. The baskets are home made and not "standard" by any means. Some are more narrow than others. There are two different style pans, one smaller and deep, the other wider and shallow. They where all painted yellow at one point that does make them easy to see, however they are now more rust than yellow. Most of the hole numbers that were on top of the basket have been knocked off.

I found it strange where hole 1 tee's off from. You basically walk down #4 fairway to get to hole 1 from the parking lot.

Hole 2 is a long shot up the slight hill, right OVER #2's tee box. I can only assume that this hole was lengthened after it originally went in and they didn't want to move or make a new tee box for #2.

The only memorable holes were #13 that is 700+ foot, a true 2 drive hole with a decent fairway. Too bad the tee pad and tee sign are not in place.

The other memorable hole was the short hole #16. This is an island hole if you play the roads OB. The basket is placed on a narrow piece of land between the road and a parking lot. Do or die going for the birdie. Unfortunately for me, I was short on my drive OB, went for the putt across the road, bounced off the top of the basket into the parking lot behind it. Oh well, took a 5. I did a stroke better on the 700+ foot hole.

To be honest, the rest of the holes were mostly wide open hyzer shots. Some were long, others were easy birdied. I shot a 54.

Would I play here again? No, don't think I would. You have a better course across town with real baskets and great tee pads. A course that is ONLY disc golf with no other amenities at Veterans Memorial.

park for the kids to play in nearby
restrooms

Cons:

dear god do not play this course if winds are out of the south/southeast

Other Thoughts:

Malodorousness detracts from the positive aspects of this course. Nice course overall.

Underrated. 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Good distance shots, quite a few holes have you keeping low to avoid nailing trees. Really great course to just walk through and play with friends. More of a "hangout" course than a challenge course. One of the few courses in the area where the pad actually points in the direction of the pin. The pins are also highly visible.

Cons:

Roads cut across about 3 holes, but can easlily be thrown over unless your disc goes rogue. Course muddy when wet. Pins could use some replacement as some are varying heights and some have angles.

Other Thoughts:

There is a decent challenge here, and I think this course is a little misrepresented. I have only smelled anything on this course once, and it was barely noticeable unless you went off course by a decent margin. If the course had new pins it would be given a half star higher. I actually like this course better than the course in joplin, mostly because I do not have to worry about my disc getting jacked up by rocks on every hole.
