Cons:

Grass/dirt tees

Tee Markers, not tee signs,no distance, just hole number

Other Thoughts:

Course out in the middle of nowhere. Miami is the closest 18 hole course for miles. The course is on the outside of town. I felt like I was leaving town and thought I had passed it when I got to it.

The park looks like the edge of a field with a small grove of trees and a pond. Not sure if the small creek runs year long, it had water in it today as it had been raining a lot lately.

The holes are longer than you would expect for a 9 hole course, but there is also not a lot of tree's to play around.

Hole 1 is about a 400ft throw from next to the parking lot across the small creek. There is one tree in the fairway and it is near the basket.

Hole 2 is probably the best hole on the course, it throws across the edge of the pond past 2 tree's and is about a 350ft hole.

Then you throw back along the creek to the dam for the pond. 2nd best hole and just under 300ft. Scary shot as an overthrow is in the pond.

Then you walk backward to throw a similar shot, but basket 4 is at the bottom of the dam. This is the best birdie shot on the course.

Now you have some shots into the open part of the park. Hole 5 does have you throwing out of the grove of trees up the slight hill.

Hole 6 has you throwing back down the hill, not a single tree in the fairway, but it is a 425ft hole.

Hole 7 has you throwing back up the hill, just past 2 or 3 small tree's. You need to get past these to be in the circle. The hole is about 300ft, but plays much longer being up the slight hill.

Then 2 birdie holes, hole 8 is pretty wide open with the basket just past the wash in the edge of the grove of tree's. The tree's really don't come into play here

Hole 9 has both a right hand hyzer and left hand hyzer shot around one large tree. Now the right hand shot does have some trees much farther right. But it is still a pretty open shot.

Then you are done. UDisc has an alternet set of tees mapped, I personally would not play them unless I lived in the area.

Would I play here again? No, I think I would make the drive to Miami to play Veterans Memorial before I played here again. While the course does have 2 or 3 good holes, it is not much of a course. That is the ONLY reason I gave it a 2.5 over a 2. I think the distance is too long for a small town 9 hole course. And there is no place for any more holes.

I would have designed a small 9 hole pitch and putt, maybe design it so I could play some long versions of the holes. But I would have kept more of the holes in the grove of trees, had at least one tee on the damn of the pond and probably not had any wide open 400+ ft shots over the fields.
