Good Course To Start At For Beginnners 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 3, 2018 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

-Has multiple holes, some holes have the same tee
-Hole 9 can be used as a practice hole since its right by the parking lot
-Map of the course right at the first hole tee

Cons:

-If you haven't played here before it is very difficult to find your way around as the signs there are hard to read and to find (made of styrofoam)
-Heavily wooded on some holes
-Paths okay but not great, needs some upkeep
-Dirt tees are hard to see

Other Thoughts:

This is the first course I played on when I started playing Disc Golf, and thank god our friend that has been there before showed us around because we would have gotten lost. It's good for practice and very close to where I live so I can go anytime. Needs signage upgrade like other courses I've played.

Great location, potential here 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:May 13, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Excellent mix of open field holes and tight wooded ones, great use of the land with many surprising topographic features. Lots of unexpected sloped hills, the pin often placed precariously to escalate the challenge and punish an ill-fated approach. Plenty of elevation and turns to test a variety of shots, many scenic views as you pass through and some nice rock walls outline many of the holes.

Cons:

Some of the basics would benefit here: another 9 baskets of course, most tee pads natural (albeit relatively level), more precise signage and next tee indicators would help the out-of-town visitor (like this one) navigate an at times confusing layout. However, I feel they made the best out of what was inherently available. If it wasn't for running into a local player, I would probably still be lost out there. Definitely missed a couple holes during our round.

Other Thoughts:

With some capital and sweat equity invested here, there is plenty of room for the course to develop to the next level. Still plenty of challenge and fun to be had, but maybe not quite worth the venture I took at this point. Not a lot of disc options in this area, so having this one, and on a beautiful plot of land, is a plus.

Unrelated to review: I did lose my blue Gold line River somewhere in the leaves on the left down slope of hole 8. It is a disc I hit my sole and proud ace with, so you can imagine some sentimental attachment here. If you happen to find it, please contact me as your sensitivity would be greatly appreciated.
